Jamie Hatch (jamiehatch2) | 16 comments My friend loaned me the book "Miss Wonderful" by Loretta Chase. I get the impression (from "books like this") that this is NOT a clean romance. Does anyone know? Yes, my friend has loaned me both clean and not clean romances. After the last one, I decided should find out before I begin this one. Any help/thoughts/knowledge would be most appreciated.

Gerd | 31 comments Didn't know Loretta wrote clean romances, too.

May have to look them up, I think she's a fun writer but the whole "lots of sex and no real story in sight" part of "Lord of Scoundrels" annoyed me.

QNPoohBear | 63 comments Her early books were clean Regencies but she, like many others, switched to Regency Historicals (the smutty kind) when the clean kind fell out of favor. It annoys the heck out of me because she knows and loves history! I follow Two Nerdy History Girls (blog) and her posts are always interesting.

Something to note about her clean Regencies is that though they are technically clean, the heat factor goes up a little with the more recent books. I tend to stick to Regencies written in the 1990s. Before that they largely lack strong heroines post women's libbers like to read about and after 2000 or so they get trashy.

Check out this website http://thenonesuch.org/
for lists and reviews of clean Regency romances.
