"Five detailed status updates can be used in place of a review" Oh boy... It's really mandatory that? I would love to join but all my updates are the percent or the pages I left the book but I hate to write on the updates and even more reviews :(

But it can just be a few sentences for a review. Something you liked, didn't like, it doesn't have to be extreme.
Yes. A review could be as simple as:I really liked the plot because... I found that I could connect with this character because... I didn't like...because...
At least four short sentences should do it.

I'll make a thread now. :)Lizzie, it's not so much the score keeping. Most of the time people will just randomly disappear on the quarterly challenges and when we tried it as a team it didn't go all that well.

Can we do rereads? I read some of these awhile ago and I don't remember a thing about the first books, so I'd have to reread them to continue with the series.

How long ago?Also, you'd have to either write a new review or post new status updates.
March of last year, & I would be doing both new status updates & a new review under the old review.
March works as it's been more than a year. :)

Lizzie, don't know where you live, but Londo were hotter than we are here in Virginia, which almost never happens unless it's winter.

Goodness, I meant London. I can't type today.Yeah...that's what I've been hearing from the radio and other people I follow who live in England. It's not normal there, is it? Also, most people don't have AC there do they? Although, if it's dry heat, you're so lucky! It's so humid where I live and it's awful.

Our third quarterly challenge is a series reading challenge. All you have to do is read books that are part of a series! Easy, right? Comment to sign-up and with any questions about the challenge.
Rules
*Books must be read and reviewed from July 1st to September 30th.
*Five detailed status updates can be used in place of a review.
*Books must be 100 pages to count.
*Novellas (less than 100 pages) that are part of a series will count toward pages only.
*Manga/graphic novels will count for pages only.
*Buddy reads must take place within our group.
*You must make at least 5 comments on a buddy read to get extra points.
Points
*Points for a book will be awarded based on the number the book is in the series. So book #3 in a series will earn three points.
*Max number of points for a book in a series is 7. So book #8 in a series would earn 7 points.
*Five points for every 1000 pages read.
*Manga/graphic novels count for ¼ of the listed page count.
*Two points for reading the group book of the month (each month the challenge runs) in addition to series points, if it is in a series.
*Buddy reads will double your points for that book. So a buddy read of The Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter #7), for example, will earn you 14 points.
