I have not seen that goodreads offers space to readers who want to blog on the site, but every time I think I know my way around this site I discover something new, so that question would seem to be one for the goodreads staff.
My best guess, Ivy, is that you can rate and review books to your heart's content on goodreads, but a general blog might not be an option as they may be concerned about bloggers writing material inappropriate to a site fully dedicated to reading and books.
You might specifically direct such a question to the "goodreads librarians" so check under Help at the bottom of your screen on goodreads. If you can blog on the site they will let you know. I think they are sort of like the traffic directors on the site as well as answering questions like yours.

Typed the query out in a bit of a hurry and on the go.
To answer your question I am also an author, my first book should be out later this year.
Aw! let the blog query be now. I basically was looking to connect with people who read Fantasy on GoodReads because that is the genre of my book.
Thanks again. That was sweet.

You will be able to set up an Author's Page on goodreads after your book comes out, and then you can blog and talk about other books and your own books as well. But I advise doing so so with a measure of restraint; I have noticed I get more views on my blog posts when I speak about others issues or subjects, not just when I am waving the flag, so to speak, of my own books to get reader interest. The traffic on this site is intelligent and discerning; they don't seem to want to be hammered to death with blogs that are only advertisements of one's book. We've all experienced this, and it can be annoying. you seem to have a passion for books, so you will then have a place to share that passion, as well as informing readers of your own work.

Almost forgot: there's a thread called "Latest Blog Posts" as well.
I have a question
If I have a blog related to books and I would love to have readers and followers. Obviously, Good reads is the perfect place to connect with them. But how do I do it without being offensive or breaking any rules?
I really do love books and review stuff on Good reads too very often
regards
Ivy
