Arnaud B. | 119 comments Maybe you have seen it on the news but one of our most famous french politician feminist woman passed away today.
Simone Veil did a lot for women in my country because she made abortions, aka IVG = Interruption Volontaire de Grossesse in french, legal.
She fought a lot for women rights and hoped for a world in peace.
She was also deported to Auschwitz Birkenau during the Second World War.
Let's talk about this strong woman who did a lot for feminism in France.

Laure Let's just try to forget she protested against same-sex marriage - besides that, she was one of the greatest ladies. She succeeded in making abortion legal in France and was later the first elected head of the European Parlament.

There are currently several petitions to make her body be buried in the Pantheon, the place where "the greatest French people" are buried - it is a huge honor, and I think she'd deserve it: link

I didn't know that. It wasn't really smart. But well, she deserves to be in the Pantheon.
