I'm finally attending Indianapolis this year for Gencon this August (my first time there). Will catch part of the Writer's Symposium, do some game testing, and salivate in the exhibitor/vendor show (lots of board games to check out).

Anyone else going?

Jon Ray (jonray) | 51 comments I highly recommend True Dungeon if they are running it this year. One of my best experiences at GenCon SoCal some years back.

I was going to ask what True Dungeon was, then I remember I'm on the internet...So, I assume True Dungeon is this: http://www.truedungeon.com/ If so, that does sound cool! And that's something they've done at different cons?

Yep! That is the one. Nothing like playing through an actual D&D module in real-life :D I don't know how long off the top of my head they've been doing this, but they have become a staple of GenCon and I think they even do a few other Cons as well. A cross between LARP(Live Action Role Playing) and Puzzle Solving/Shuffle Board.

Well my first GenCon was awesome.
The Writer's Symposium was a fine edition to the gaming venues.

Was able to listen to and meet Howard Andrew Jones, and even had him sign several books including Black Gate 15 - Spring 2011.

Also got to meet in person a fellow contributor to Heroika 1: Dragon Eaters and Pirates in Hell, Jack William Finley.
