"I'm sorry I was wrong I should have stay i'm sorry" Percy said "And that you were a brainless git" Fred said" And that I was a brainless git" Percy said" good now that we agree'd on that" they all ran and hugged him.
I think that's how it go's sorry if i'm wrong but i think he should be forgiven for that and the battle scene which is to much of a spoiler. Also I feel like Snape should be forgiven because he did all of it for Harry I hope you don't mind if I quote him from book 7 i think this is how it go's
"You must tell harry that he has to die"Dumbledore says to
Snape"But you told me we were doing this to protect Harry"Snape said" Don't tell me your now going felling's for the boy"Dumbledore said"Of course not but how messed up is it to protect him for years and just let them die at the right time" Snape said"
And he loved his mother so much he risked his own life to protect her and him and harry appreciated it so much that he name his son after him "Albus Severus Potter" and what is all this stuff about Arthur i don't even need to quote him because all his sentence's are wonderfully nice and pleasant. Okay now that my finger's are dead good day "that's mental"said Ron.

Id have to say Dumbledore. He used harry to get the horcruxes and didn't care about the danger. He also had no idea apparently that one of his best friends Mad eye moody was acting strange and secretly barty crouch Jr.
Another would be Molly Weasley for how she treated Fleur after bill brought her home. That one specific part.

The only reason he protected Harry was because he saw some of his mother in him. He hated Harry because he was like his father. Snape had betrayed Lily multiple times and expec..."
If memory serves me right, Snape he did ask Voldemort not to kill Lily (a great personal risk as well, given that she was a mudblood and that such a request could have been seen as antethetical to Voldemort's pureblood ideologies),
I personally believe his request also provided Voldemort's motivation for trying to spare Lily. This is also possibly the only reason why Harry survived - Voldemort didn't want to kill Lily because Snape asked him to spare her.
It's my interpretation that Lily's attempt to barter her life for Harry's worked for exactly this reason, her life had value (in the eyes of magic), since she otherwise would have lived - Voldemort didn't want to kill her, therefore Voldemort killing her enacted a magical contract that protected Harry from him.
Whereas presumably in every other situation where someone offered their life to spare someone elses, Voldemort didn't care, because he'd just as soon kill them both.
Mind you, Snape no doubt still did this for selfish reasons, but he did do it, at great personal risk.
