To be completely honest, I didn't read the book before I saw the movie. Matter of fact, I didn't even know it existed. And initially, I DID NOT want to see the movie at all. I was convinced it was The Fault In Our Stars Part 2, but I was eventually dragged to the movies by my younger sister.
But I actually didn't hate it. I kind of liked the movie. And I did enjoy the story. It wasn't quite as predictable as I had anticipated. I loved Olly and I agree with you about him (even though I didn't read the book), he was not emphasized at much as I had hoped.
I don't have much to say about how the book connects to the movie, since I was completely ignorant about its existence, but I will say that I LOVED the soundtrack. Off-topic? Probably.
I was pleasantly surprised, to sum it up. I might read the book now.
The Fault in our Stars was a heartbreakingly good book! It was not to long so I finished it pretty quickly. The movie does have some good actors and the trailer looked really great but I always criticize the movie if it changes things just a little bit! Should I watch the movie?! -Clare
