On a more serious note... I know you were afraid people wouldn't like Dating-ish because it was so weird (your words, definitely not mine cause I think is one of your best books and one of my favs) and have said something similar about Beard in Mind. Besides these occasions when you questioned how the readers would react, was there any book you dreaded writing or a story that you haven't got around writing for some reason?

Sharky hugs!

message 42: by Penny (new)

Penny Reid (reidromance) | 106 comments Aɤɩ wrote: "Who was your one character that was the most complex and really difficult to bring to life? What inspired him/her?"

Shelly Sullivan. I struggled to write from her perspective because I didn't enjoy being in her head. She is the heroine of Beard in Mind so I can't give too much away. She is based off of people from my own life and even a bit off of myself. I think I struggled with her because she hit a little too close to home!

We met at an author signing in Tulsa. I'd read Painted Faces and basically forced her to be my friend and thus the Rugby series was BORN! I don't know that I have room for another work wife in my life ;-)

I would say Dating-ish. I researched Artificial Intelligence, professional cuddlers, orgasm meditation, and online dating. I know more about these things now than any individual probably needs to LOL.
