Catherine (catherine_mooncakes) | 0 comments A dormitory for Arthur (Kaya2209) and Tevi (Max(Mace)). Arthur is in Advanced Writing and so there is a well-stocked desk of supplies like notebooks, pencils, pens, paper, and a dictionary. Tevi is in Medicine and Sports, and so there is a practice dummy, basic first aid kit, a few types of balls, and a rope hanging from the ceiling.

Max | 1137 comments Tevi managed to open the door and dump his bag onto his bed before bolting to the washroom and promptly being sick. After puking up most of his lunch, he sat down on the bathroom floor and sighed. Fully aware that he had a dorm partner, he tried to clean up as best he could. When he thought it was safe to leave the bathroom, he brushed his teeth, slipped into an old shirt and pajama pants and curled up in his bed. Closing his eyes, he moved around uncomfortably, alternating between hot and cold every few minutes.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan knocked on the door quietly. Loud enough that if Tevi were awake, he could hear it, but quiet enough that it wouldnt wake him if he were sleeping.

message 7: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi would've loved to be asleep, but he couldn't find a comfortable position, so he heard the knock on the door. Somewhere he found the energy to sit up and stare at the door. If it was Arthur, he might just die. He hadn't really met his roommate yet, so this would not be a prime time for a introduction. Since the person had knocked though, it probably wasn't him. Realizing, with some relief (Since he wouldn't have to get up) that he had left the door unlocked in his rush.
"Come in at your own risk. the door's unlocked" He called out wearily.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan opened the door slightly, poking her head in, "Are you dead? Are you dying?"

message 9: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi rolled his eyes,
"Not dead, maybe dying though." He was happy that it was Jan, not someone else. Flopping back down onto the bed he sighed.
"Again, you enter at your own risk."

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan came in and closed the door, "At least your dying and not dead. Thats slightly better."

message 11: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments " I dunno, heaven might have ice cream. That would be good." Tevi thought about it for a moment and then turned a pale shade of green.
"Never mind... shouldn't have mentioned food." He grimaced and pulled up the covers, shivering slightly.
"I remember when I got sick at home, my sister would always come in and make these funny stories up. She's younger than me, so it was super cute." Tevi smiled slightly and then frowned again.
"Great, now i'm actually sick and homesick."

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan crouched down next to him and brushed some hair out of his face. She put her hand on his forehead, "Yeesh! Youre burning up! Ill be right back with something thatll help."

message 13: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi smiled slightly.
"Really? Cause I feel like i'm stuck in the middle of a snowstorm and I have snow down my back." He joked. It was true though. He had never understood how one could have a fever and be burning up on the inside, while feel like their freezing on the outside.
"Thanks Snow Queen, you're the best."

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "No problem," she smiled, walking out.

message 15: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi waited impatiently for Jan to come back. He felt completely miserable and having someone to talk to made him feel just a little bit better. While he waited he grabbed his phone and started looking at pictures of his younger sister. Eventually he got to nauseous to look at a screen and had to jump out of bed and go back to the washroom to spit up what little food was left in his stomach.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan had a hunch that Tevi was in the bathroom since there was no one in his bed, so she waited outside the bathroom door.

message 17: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments "Jan? Are you creepily waiting outside the bathroom door to ambush me?" He called out, after hearing the creaking of the floorboards. After a moment he opened the door, raised an eyebrow at her and then went back to curl up in bed.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "No, im just making sure you dont choke on your own vomit and die," Jan said very frankly, "We wouldnt want that, would we?"

message 19: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi chuckled slightly.
"How considerate of you." He said, smiling, despite the fact that he still felt disgusting.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan had almost forgotten about the wet towel in her hand. It should cool him off. She put the cloth on his head, "This should help."

message 21: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi blinked a little bit of water out of his eyes.
"Thanks." He smiled and sat up, feeling a little bit better.
"Did your... brother did you say? Ever take care of you when you got sick?" He asked. He wanted to focus on something else that wasn't his own homesickness.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan sat down on the floor and sighed, "Sometimes. But in all honesty, i dont think he really cares about me much."

message 23: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Glanced at her sitting on the floor, Tevi frowned.
"How come? He is your brother after all." He watched Jan curiously.
"There's a chair right there." He gestured to his desk chair, just in case she wanted to sit down.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "Im good," she said staying put, "He may be my brother, but all he does in a day is hang out with his friends playing poker. He doesnt pay much attention to me."

message 25: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi wrapped his arms around his legs and put his head down on his knees.
"Poker... that sounds interesting." He had always tried his very best to be the best brother possible for his little sister. It always annoyed him how some people took their siblings for granted.
"I'm sure he loved you though." He said softly. Another wave of nausea hit him, and he had to stop talking.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "Maybe deep down," Jan sighed, "Lay down, Tevi. You dont look so good."

message 27: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi shrugged slightly, it wasn't his business to try and figure her family out anyways.
"Are you saying that i'm ugly?" He said with mock horror. But he lay back down and stared up at the ceiling.
"You really are the best Jan. You know that right?"

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "Best, i dunno," Jan said, "Can you settle for mediocre?"

message 29: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments "Don't sell yourself short." I only settle for the best Tevi smiled. "Half my friends wouldn't have gone near me if they thought I was even the slightest bit sick." Closing his eyes, he curled up, hugging the pillow his sister had made for him to his chest.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan smiled and tucked him in. She brushed his hair out of his eyes, "You need sleep. Want me to go?"

message 31: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi shrugged slightly.
"You can choose. I mean if you want to stay and creepily watch me sleep, you can do that, or you can leave." He grinned at Jan and then drifted off to sleep. His breathing becoming soft and regular.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan didnt want him to be alone. She's seen her brother choke on his vomit, and she didnt want Tevi to do that, so she stayed. She leaned against his bed on the floor and crossed her arms. She shut her eyes and let her mind wander.

message 33: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi would not have exactly called his sleep restful. He slept fitfully for a few minutes until waking up to run to the washroom again and spend the next ten minutes dry heaving and trying his best not to think about the fact that the people in the dorm next door were making pasta. Tevi was actually quite a picky eater, but pasta had always been okay for him, this pasta however smelled like the most disgusting thing ever. When he finally made his way back to bed, he realized that January was still there and smiled slightly. That was quite loyal of her to stay.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan thought she heard Tevi rush by her, but she was still half asleep.

message 35: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi finally fell into a passably good sleep. For once, he didn't dream about anything, which was a great relief, since he didn't have the energy to deal with nightmares. When he woke up his stomach still felt uneasy, but not nearly as bad as before.
"Hey, Jan?" He whispered. He didn't want to wake her up, he just wanted to check if she was asleep.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "Mrrmph?" She grunted.

message 37: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi smiled slightly and shook his head.
"Never mind." Gingerly he made his way to the bathroom, trying his best not to make too much noise. He was trying to be so careful that he ended up running into the door frame by mistake. "Oww..." He muttered, laughing a bit at his own inability to be quiet. In the washroom he tried his best to make it look like he hadn't just spent half the night puking. Unluckily, the dark circles under his eyes and the fact that he still looked a bit green gave him away.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments Jan was wide awake now, and stood outside the bathroom door, "You feeling better?"

message 39: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments "Oh I feel way better, I don't look any better though." Tevi complained, pulling a hand through his tangled hair. Glancing at Jan he smiled.
"Thanks for staying by the way." He grinned at her, and then looked around for where he had put his toothpaste the night before.
"How is it that after sleeping in a chair for hours, you still look good Snow Queen?" He asked lightly. Getting onto his knees he grabbed the toothpaste which was under the sink and began brushing his teeth.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "On the floor," she corrected him, "And i dunno."

message 41: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi turned at her with a look of amazement.
"You didn't even move onto a chair or something!" He frowned at her.
"Do you enjoy being uncomfortable?" Tevi made another attempt at flattening out his burgundy hair with a comb and then gave up.
"Alright. Should I risk breakfast?" Immediately he paled a bit.
"Okay, never mind. Would you like some breakfast?" He asked Jan.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "Enjoy, no," Jan said, "But i can fall asleep anywhere."
"No, im good, for now," Jan assured him.

message 43: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi glanced at her.
"Are you sure? I have cereal here, and uh, chocolate... my sister sent that." He said with a smile, taking out a little pink chocolate castle that his sister had sent a while ago.
"But you probably don't want chocolate in the morning." He paled a little bit again and paused, unsure if he should stay where he was or skedaddle over to the washroom again. The nausea passed and he smiled again.
"Ok, i'm gonna stop talking about food now."

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "You should lay back down," she told him, "Youre still really pale."

message 45: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments "Oh come on! I don't want to stay in bed all day!" He checked his watch. "And I have a work shift at Icy Delight today." He argued, but went over and curled up again on top of the blankets. He didn't want to be stuck inside all day, but he still felt too sick to do anything else.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "You are not working today," Jan insisted, "Im gonna call the Icy Delight and tell them that youre sick."

message 47: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments "I already missed a shift yesterday though!" Tevi said. He couldn't loose this job. It wasn't that his father wasn't willing to send him money, and while they had enough to live a good life, they didn't have endless amounts of money.
"Come on! My manager is already mad at me for giving someone a free ice cream!" He argued again. Sighing he lay back down. "Oh whatever, if they fire me though, i'm holding you accountable." He grumbled.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments "Dont worry, Tevi," Jan said, "I have a way with words," she pulled out her cell phone and told him shed be right back. She went outside and used the phone.

message 49: by Max (new)

Max | 1137 comments Tevi watched her go.
"I really hope you do, since my boss is rather good at ignoring words." He muttered as she left. Out of the few jobs Tevi had done in his life, this one was actually one of the best. Basically his job was to make people happy by giving them food, it could be a lot worse.

Abby ~Sign Please~ | 966 comments A few minutes later Jan returned, "Everything's fine," she smiled, "you have today off, and i even convinced him to give you some of today's tips. Oh, and if he asks, you had a family emergency, and you needed money for a cab ride to the airport. Thats why he's still paying you today." She winked.
