I LOVE them SO MUCH

One of my favourite ship from any book ♥♥ I love them so much! ♥

I really like them!!! I think Mare is always a little pretentious when she says 'choose me' but that's okay. KC broke my heart a little in the end with them but I have hope for the next book!

I just finished book one of Red Queen and I LOVED THEM! I thought Mare would maybe have to choose between the two brothers at some point in time (I was hoping Cal), but after the end of this book, any piece of me that was team Maven is dead....

I personally never saw why they were together. I would've preferred Mare with Maven. An un popular opinion I guess?

I don't mind their relationship, but I also don't really see any chemistry between them. For their characters individually weren't that great and could have been developed more, so may that might have to be a part of it.

I love Mareven. (The ship name :) ) I think Maven has a lot of potential if he can just bring himself to do the right thing.

That's kind of how I feel. Like, I would be ok if they ended up together, but after King's Cage I don't know if it would really work :/

I feel she is more the one that would leave. Honestly, she comes off as the kind of girl who wants everything her way or she just doesn't want it. I don't particularly like her character though.

Um, I know that this is mostly for people who really ship them together and everything, but I've read the books and I honestly don't see what's so good about Cal and Mare...? Yeah, I'll probably get hate for this but hear me out: literally I saw like zero character development in either character and I hate reading from Mare's perspective. Cal doesn't really do anything but mope around trying to play both sides by like helping the Reds but not killing any Silvers. He can't seem to make a decision, which is kinda sad because even I know kings need to make decisions and the entire series he's just fluctuating back and forth between which side to support and in a war like this you can't support both sides, which is literally what he is doing. Also, I didn't see the chemistry between them. Mare saw him one night, thought he was hot, and then was exiled with him. After that, they kinda hooked up and then were separated because of the ending of book 2 and then once they were reunited they were back together immediately and I'm kind of confused how their relationship developed from Mare thinking he was hot to them dating. I mean, she literally started sleeping in his room because she got nightmares and then oh well I guess that means they have to be sleeping together? That's basically what I understood.... Am I missing something here about why everyone thinks they're so good for each other and why everyone likes this series? Yeah, I'm definitely getting hate for this aren't I

Cal is somehow a redundant character to Mare's disputes with Maven.
