Addicted to YA discussion

Hey. So I finished insurgent and I'm going to be reading allegiant. I already know how the trilogy ends since my older sister read it and expressed her disgruntlement with me afterwards, but I was wondering: what do you think caused Veronica Roth to change the ending so drastically? I understand that some ideas just don't fit with the screen but to change Tris' death sounds like too much. What are your thoughts?

With them splitting the last book into two, who knows how they will actually end it. I didn't like the changes they made in the movie though. Unlike many, I actually liked the ending in the books. I think it fit the characters, and made sense to me in the context of the world.

I am waiting to see. I didn't like the ending, but I have never seen a movie deviate that much from the book, so time will tell.
