Hey so I have a question about the bingo competition. So Team Peppermint Latte just completed the board with their last 4 books that they needed. Do I add the 5 points to the rows/columns they added and then the 20 points for completing the board to their total? Just want to make sure before I post their score.

For some reason I can't remember if anyone has already asked this question and ever since I took my night cold/flu medicine I'm also drawing a blank on this question. But for the block: read a book that starts with N or D - can they skip "the" or "a" or does it just have to start with N or D

I just checked the threads and as far as I can tell it was never asked. I think the and a could be skipped. :)

When do you guys think we should post the resolutions challenge for January?

Maybe we should post up the sign up now? Instead of half way through the month because it could get super crazy with the holidays/birthdays (if there are any) coming up

Okay :) Yeah that way if people sign up super early based on the resolutions we could make the teams between christmas and new years (if anyone has time I mean). Or even way before then. Who knows!

I'll have more time after around the 15th because the semester ends! So hopefully I can get in a bunch of reading, writing, and be around here a bit more.

Hi, guys!

First of all, I wanted to apologise for being absent for almost two weeks. Uni projects and midterms have been taking up most of my time, and I haven't been able to enjoy some free time because it's non-existent :(

To top it off, I've been getting in and out of some cold or flu-like thing for about two months. I have no idea what it is, but I can't seem to fully recover from it no matter what meds I take. And my parents are in the same situation :/

I'll try to be more active now that the holidays are around the corner, I might have some free time now... Hopefully :)

I can't believe I am only just now seeing this! Actually, yes I can. Finals had just started and I was working a TON. But I hope you are feeling better, Salha!

I am adding Felicia as a mod and she can help out with anything we need. I also am out of work for a few weeks, so I should have time to clean up some stuff. That said, I likely won't be able to continue being all that active in keeping up with things in the future, so if any of you current mods are interested in kind of taking over the main running of the group let me know.

I'm still fairly new to Goodreads. I can help out with anything anyone needs but I'd just have to be taught how to do so first. Then I'll be good to go! :D

Do you feel comfortable with setting buddy read threads? I can help you out with some of that. I haven't been scoring this month's challenge, so not even sure what's happening there, haha. But that's not usually too bad either. Just takes some getting used to the way goodreads does things.

Alright, in your message you mentioned the polls for the book of the month. I don't think we have a book of the month suggestion thread for January yet, so if you would like to make one of those, that would be great! Then later in the month you could do the poll as well.

To set polls, it's actually super easy. Just go to the group's main page and to the right at the top there is a "polls" option. When you go there it gives you the option to create a poll. We usually use a book poll (which it will have an option to switch to over on the top right). And then you just enter the books and all the basics about when it should run.

I made it. How long normally do we allow suggestions for? I noticed that the December book of the month suggestions were put up in October. I think were kinda late for January. Lol. Because we still have to open the poll for people to vote right?

Yeah, we are definitely late! I would maybe give it a week. And then we can do the poll. I will actually send a message out now to all members and let them know to sign-up for the challenge and get suggestions in so we can vote.
