When do you guys want to start planning the next quarterly challenge? I realize that right now is waaaaaaaaay to early but we should set a date where we can all be on and come up with ideas. :)

I think qe talked about doing a seasons challenge for the next quarterly challenge. (I like planning well in advance.) I'll have to see if I've come up with anything for that yet.

Bookbuyer: do you have a template in mind to do scores for this month? I was going to update them, but didn't know if you had a specific way you wanted it done?

Probably just a similar template to the ones we use. Do you want me to make one?

If you have time, if not I can try and figure it out. I'm just worried that if I make one from scratch it will not look as uniform as the ones you make

Great, I saw that. I'm only in 15 credits this semester, so I'm hoping that I will have lots more time to help out.

I was going to ask what we were thinking for October. Do we want a Halloween themed challenge? If so, I was thinking that something like the wedding challenge would be fun, or maybe we could do that for a fall themed challenge in November. I just really liked how people had to read from random categories, I personally like doing that challenge myself.

But we would have to absolutely know that someone would be available to keep up with that. And I know I couldn't do it, so it would have to be other mods.

Hi everyone!! I think I understand the scoring for the September challenge. I have also noticed that some people have been posting reviews...I don't know when you guys usually update the scores (daily, weekly, etc.) but if need be I can start. Just let me know :)

ahh okay! Well I guess I just have a question for the points 'cause I started a word document and started scoring but I just want to know if I did it right... so for example I'll use Bookbuyer's team Camp Half Blood.

I didn't know if you add the 5 points for 1,000 pages read to the total or if you added it to both points and total points for that person... just wanted to see if I understand the process and if I did it right? Let me know.

Ps. I know there are more people on the team I just did the scoring for the two people who did reviews...

We usually divide the number of pages by 200 and add the number of points to give us the total.

Unfortunately I have never figured out how to do the scores so we will have to wait for Jackie or C.P to confirm. :/

Right, so usually we do a point for the book, a point for buddy read, and then divide the number of pages by 200 then add everything for the total. That way people who don't have exact multiples of a thousand on pages will have theirs counted. So:

points + buddy points + pages read/200 = total points.

Usually I just search for the book and then where it shows my review there is an option that says view or something like that at the top and I follow that to my review.

And yes, you can get started on doing scores. I was going to do them after I eat food, but if you can get to them sooner that would be great. I can update the series scores today.

I think you add it to the total points. The 'points' part is either books read or sometimes category read. :)
