Challenge Corner discussion

Do you guys wants me put up the team scores on the "back to school" September challenge page? Just to show them where they all stand so far, team wise, since we are half way through September?

I went ahead and made the Book of the Month thread, since I had some time. That way I could include it in the message. :)

I am about to start coming up with the grid for Nov/Dec bingo. If you have any ideas for it, please let me know. I was thinking of giving each row a theme, but not have the board be one overall theme.

What if you did like a cozy theme where some of the categories could be reading a cozy mystery, reading a book with hot chocolate or coffee on the cover, or reading a book with a fire on the cover

Good idea. I'll try and incorporate that. :)

You could do a color them: like fall/winter colors. Or family oriented since the holidays are all about family (or I guess traveling books...since a lot of people travel for those holidays). Or sports for thanksgiving.. since there's football games that day.

Hello! I'm the new mod :)

Thank you so much for this opportunity and letting me join you here; I'll help with whatever that's needed within the group.

I'll need some help to learn the process of the calculation of points for the challenges' teams. An also some advice when it comes to tracking the participation of each team member; I was thinking of using an Excel sheet for that, like keeping a list of each team and the books and points they get.

Hi, Salha!

We can definitely help you out on calculating things and such. It changes a little depending on the challenge, but we can determine that as we go.

As far as tracking, excel would probably be helpful. I usually use some kind of comment system within the team threads. For the challenges where categories can be repeated, I usually don't track them.

Do you think we should do another resolutions challenge for January? Or something different?

That sounds like fun. I wasn't here in the group for that challnge though.

I think a lot of our current participants are new, so I don't think it would be too much of a repeat. And I think it was all done individually last time, so this could be a team thing.

Both BOTM and planned BRs threads are up now. I also archived Augusts BOTM thread to clean it up a little. :)

I can the team planning threads if they need to be made. I don't know for sure if we have teams yet though as I just made some in case whoever was making them got busy. Plus they are fun to make! :P

I think a resolutions challenge for January would be great! I especially think a team format would work as that might help people stay motivated
