Megan had a question on the challenge thread - For the category "A book with an orphan main character", does the orphan have to be a child? What if the person loses their parents as an adult (late 20's I think)? This is the book Country Crooner by Rebecca Lynn Clayson.

Would a book, A Song for Rory by Cerella Sechrist, that has a parent getting a type of Alzheimer's that can be hereditary and has that person concerned they might have the gene work for "a book that deals with mental health"?

I thought the orphan thing was fine but the Alzheimer's is a bit tricky.

I think Alzheimer's counts as a mental health issue because it's a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions.

If it's virtual reality space. I'd say no. As for Child Genius I haven't read it so I'm not sure.

I've read it and I was like.. hmm, that might be stretching it a bit. For the Child Genius, he's 18 and I wouldn't count that as a child since technically one is an adult at that age.. but just wanted to double check (again)

Haven't read it, so if he wasn't a genius it wouldn't fit, but I wanted to clarify something with the 18 thing.

Haven't we counted in that category? I believe Bruce just turned 18 in that book.

It's actually an Iron Man category, so I think we counted it because we said he was a teen and was a child.

I guess if we used Batman as child genius then we should allow Slytherpuff's book to be child genius too if that character is 18. Especially if the child genius category isn't a Batman category.
