Good news everyone! Now this is what I got per mail today and I have translated it into English! The Feminist Network calls for an action day on September 16, 2017 and maybe some of you wanna connect and also organize local events on the action day to celebrate feminism? I think it would be cool to globalize the feminist action day!


Dear allies in the Feminist Network,

first of all thank you for following our call to kick off this network in such numbers!

After having overcome some technical difficulties and now having more capacities inside of the action team again we can finally continue and we have exciting news for you! Because we have an idea…

The idea: Let us turn the day of September 16, 2017 into a countrywide feminist action day!

In favor of: We wanna put our feminist agenda into the focus together one week before the election for the Bundestag. It‘s about social justice and what we are in favor of, when we talk of feminism. Of course we wanna address our demands to politics and particulary to the next federal government, too. Let us celebrate feminism and at the same time make it clear that without feminism a just future is not possible!

Against: The action day should aim to be a clear signal against antifeminist and right-wing populist policy an tendencies in Gemany and worldwide. Together we stand against every form of group-based enmity against people.

What: From a lecture over a demonstration until a party everything is possible and there is no limit to your creativity. Contentual you can stretch your action or focus on a specific issue.

Participate: At the action day you can participate in two ways, through your demands and through your own actions. You are very much welcome to simply do both.
