Jan (jan130) | 2670 comments Ooh. Without a doubt, Lonesome Dove Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry .

Or, if you meant HR, that's not as clear for me, although I do like the genre.

These ones were really good:

Forgiving Forgiving by LaVyrle Spencer

Silver Lining Silver Lining by Maggie Osborne

Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold (Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold, #1) by Ellen O'Connell

I also liked Pieces of Sky Pieces of Sky (Blood Rose, #1) by Kaki Warner although the violence content was a bit too high for me.

Jo Goodman also writes some good Western HRs that I've enjoyed.

Thanks Ally. I'm looking forward to other people's thoughts.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 584 comments My first and absolute favorite is The Outlaw Hearts by Rebecca Brandewyne . I've read this book so many times, I know it by heart and the pages are falling out.

Also loved Texas Destiny (Leigh Brothers Texas Trilogy, #1) by Lorraine Heath - lovely heroine and the hero is incredible!

Yeah I just reread Forgiving recently and really enjoyed it.

I will have to try Lorraine Heath sometime, I guess. I have been checking out these recs on kindle and they're not all available e.g. The Outlaw Hearts. I suppose some of them are older books and they haven't been made available electronically. :/

Yeah. It's from the 80s. I really wish Rebecca Brandewyne's books were available in ebook format as I've read and loved so many of them :(

I second this. He could be on the favorite heroes list too.
