Okay, we had a really close race with several books getting close to our minimum number to win but not quite making it. The top 4 books in the running this month are:

1. The Reluctant Fundamentalist
2. The End of the Affair
3. The Heart of the Matter
4. Tess of the D'Urbervilles

Those who did NOT vote for one of those 4 books may now recast their vote for one of the 4 books. Participation points used from the prior round will be returned to you and you may now use up to 5 votes (if you have enough participation points) for any of the four listed above. I deleted your entries in the survey so you can go the same survey but this time vote for only the four listed above.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VBBZSFB

If you DID vote for one of the 4 books your vote is locked in and you may not vote again - even if you voted for multiple books and only one vote went to a top 4. Basically if any of your votes went to a top 4 book you are locked in along with any participation points.

This second round will close at end of day Wednesday 26 or when I have received all votes from those eligible.

If you did not vote in round 1, you may still cast a vote for one of the top 4 books.

Questions?

Feel free to advocate for your books if you did vote for one of the top 4 :)

I've read both Reluctant Fundamentalist and Tess, both good but I really would like to read The End of the Affair. HINT

Hopefully you won't have read the book the randomizer picked. I will say that it was most likely true that you had read all the books in the top 10.

The randomized winner is a book on your To read list. I'll announce the title as soon as voting is done.

Leni Iversen (leniverse) | 570 comments It's like I can't lose with this list! Except that I'm not sure I can handle Hardy during the summer holiday. He's someone to suffer through during autumn rains with a comforter and candlelight.

Ha ha, that might be true. I'd love to read the Hardy but it does seem like a mismatch with summer. I've read mount of his books but stunningly not this one, his most famous. I would be happy with any of them although I've already read Reluctant Fundamentaist (which I really liked).

I have read 3 of the top 4 apart from The Heart of the Matter which sounds really good...just saying 🤣🤣

Same exact situation here!!

I would be fine with The Heart of the Matter though as well. It sounds very good. I just happen to own The End of the Affair.

Lol, I agree with you. Especially Tess.

I think the one you read last week should count . . .if it ends up being selected. You were merely prescient.

It's a battle to the death. All 4 books are battling it out within 1-2 points of each other and that changes from day to day.
