mkmk (astarlessreader) okay, im looking for a triology set in some kind of medieval setting, there were castles and i remember the mood being kind of like game of thrones. i read this around five years ago, but i think the books are older than that. im sure they're older.

in the first book this male main character is spoilt think? but hes chosen for something? there are also other main characters, one of them being a warrior (i think the book starts with a scene of him fighting and being injured), then theres an old wise man also. in the main castle i remember an anti-hero who is probably old, has trouble walking, hes constantly in pain.

in the second book the spoiled boy and the wise man go to some kind of big structure where theres something inside of great importance, maybe something supernazutal, im not sure. but i do remember that the anti-hero went to some castle on the sea to defend it crom the oncoming enemies, he did this reluctantly i think, but he was very intelligent and that brought him victory at the end i think.

also, the spoilt boy and old man and there was a girl i think, they go on an adventure for something, i dont know what. i remember a scene in a cave where the boy almost sleeps with the girl, or he does sleep with her, idk.

also theres a scene (dont know when) where the boy is in the main castle city thing, there he is made to fight some people in front of other people to prove himself. like knights or something.

i have never read the third book. anyway, if someone knows pls help.

i thought it might be, but when i read the summary theres no mention of this old man whos constantly in pain fighting to protect the castle at sea. this is the only thing i remember the most, so if you've read the books, can you tell me if the second book has this?
