Hi everyone! I'd love for this group to become active again. I thought a good way to start would be with A Room of One's Own-- it's short, it's a little more straightforward than some of her other works, and it also sets a foundation for her writing and beliefs.

What do you think? Does this work for the month of August?

I would love to join in. I found this group because I was looking for people loving Virginia Woolf as much as I do. As much as I like her though, I know how difficult her work can be at times so reading it together will probably help. I was a little bit disappointed when I saw that this group has existed for quite some time but then I saw your post. Yaay, so: count me in:)

Yay, that sounds great! Also, a good reminder to me that today is the first day of August haha. Looking forward to diving into it this month!

Yes, I already got my book out again. It will be the fourth time reading it and I am all excited. So far, I've learned new things with every reread. Will there be a different topic or will we discuss it here?

It looks like there's a Room of One's Own folder with no topics in it yet, so we can post things there, in case there's more than one thing we want to discuss (I'm sure there will be)!

Sounds great, thank you.

Mel Count me in. My book is scheduled to arrive today. I was so surprised my library didn't have. I was even more surprised I didn't already own it. Looking forward to our reading group

That IS surprising! I wonder if my library has it? I feel like it's something every library should stock! :)

Beth | 9 comments Where is the 'Folder' for 'A Room of One's Own? I looked in Discussions and didn't find it. I'm new to this...

Hmm, I was hoping it would pop up when I made it. I've just started a test discussion in it, so let me know if it's still not showing up!

Once you find it, you can start a new discussion by clicking "Discussions," then "A Room of One's Own" (the folder is towards the bottom), and then clicking "new topic"!

Actually, scratch that, I moved it to the top to make it easier to find! Hope this helps!
