message 1: by Meredith (new)

Meredith Giles Hey everyone! I am looking to start reading a series, trilogy, duology, etc. I have read The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. I wasn't a fan of Divergent and City Of Bones though. I really tried to like both series but I couldn't. I would love to get some recommendations on what to read next!

message 2: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 137 comments I really enjoyed Veronica Rossi's Under the Never Sky trilogy. Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi

If you like a bit of fantasy you can try Juliet Marillier's Shadowfell trilogy. Shadowfell (Shadowfell, #1) by Juliet Marillier

You can even try my trilogy, if you like. :-) The Heir (Verindon, #1) by Lynne Stringer

message 3: by Maria Adaway (new)

Maria Adaway (maria-valerie) One great series is BZRK by Michael Grant, it's a trilogy and quite quick reads but VERY thrilling!
And there's the Grisha world: Tge trilogy and Six Of Crows duology (I highly recommend this duology - you don't need to read both but can read either or) however, it is high fantasy so the world is a bit tricky to get your head around

message 4: by Wren (new)

Wren (xajsimmonsx) | 2 comments Top 3.
1. TMI
2. The Hunger Games Trilogy
3. Unwind Dystology

And I've recently fallen in love with the TID trilogy, still have to read the final two books though

message 5: by Nadia (new)

Nadia Guergachi | 2 comments legion of angels by ella summers is a new favorite(5 book series, going to 6 i think)-its a fantasy with a badass lead- and also angelfall by susan ee is amazing-its post apocalyptic also with a strong female lead(trilogy). Both are amazing, hilarious and action packed

Vanessa (bagofbooks) | 175 comments Depending on the age I would be recommending a book for kids grade 5 to 7 maybe Sweet Valley twins. The Sweet Valley series continues on w Sweet Valley high, Sweet Valley senior year, Sweet Valley University & sweet Valley kids which is before the twins

message 8: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa The Selection Series is a great read if your into 'the bachelor' / it has some dystopian aspects.

Also if you want a Hunger Game trope I recommend The Testing series. 🙂

message 9: by Josie (new)

message 10: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Metz | 7 comments some of my favorite series are: Harry Potter, The Lunar Chronicles, The Virals, And Ember in the ashes,

but there are a lot of popular series I haven't read: anything by Sarah J mass, or falling kingdoms, or the Inheritance cycle.

message 11: by Abbie (new)

Abbie The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, Vampire Academy/Bloodlines by Richelle Mead, Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. If you want adult series try the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, or her YA series set in the same 'verse the Chronicles of Nick. (But if you start with Nick's series like I did, you might get confused. I was scratching my head at all the character introductions in the first CON book that I started the DH series. Now I've read most of that series (skipping some on purpose) and am waiting for the next CON book.)
