Upper Elementary Book Review discussion

Maniac Magee can run. He runs faster than anyone in Two Mills, Pennsylvania has ever seen. After he shows up - or runs into town - and crosses the unspoken racial divide in the town, everyone becomes fascinated with this kid. But Maniac Magee must overcome his own family history and challenges, athletic jealousies, and racism to bring a community together and find a home - all while continuing to add to the legend of Maniac Magee. This is a great book for kids who are having trouble fitting in or those who are struggling to embrace their own differences.
