Upper Elementary Book Review discussion

This is the first book in the Confectionately Yours series. Hayley's life is far from perfect - her parents have divorced, her mom lost her job, and she has to share a room with her sister in her grandmother's apartment. But Hayley has a knack for making unique and tasty cupcakes, which makes a whole lot of things better. However, when tensions rise between Hayley and her best friend Artie, she needs more than cupcakes to fix things.

I really enjoyed this book - it's a very "upper elementary girly" book. I actually think the second book in the series is better, but this was a big hit with the girls who like reading in my class. I also like this book because it includes several recipes for cupcakes in it, which will appeal to any bakers on the rise you might have.
