I'm up to chapter 17

(view spoiler)[The beginning seemed like a big jump since the last book, with Eadlyn cutting down the Selection to six guys, but there were few discussed anyways so I didn't mind it. Even a couple of the boys she kept were pretty forgettable to me. I'm excited to see how she does as Queen, and who she ends up with! I keep going back and forth about who I want her to end up with; I seriously can't decide. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 24

(view spoiler)[Wow, a lot just happened in this last section. I had a feeling that Erik and Eadlyn would end up with feelings for each other, and I was expecting something to happen with Marid as well. I really hope she can marry Erik if that's what she desires, I just don't know how her parents will react and if it will even be legal? Ahh! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Aww, this was really cute. For the last 50 pages or so, I could not tell where this was going, but I'm so happy that Eadlyn got to marry the one she loved. I also enjoyed the hopeful note that dystopian worlds often end in. (hide spoiler)]

Starting chapter 19,

(view spoiler)[I completely agree with you about Eadlyn not really having her own ideas. She seems to just go with the flow of what Maxon already does, but then she talks about how she's "Queen material". It doesn't seem consistent... (hide spoiler)]

I really liked it! Especially towards the end when (view spoiler)[ Maxon told Eadlyn everything about his past and the truth behind The Selection. I'm surprised that she ended up with Eikko as she wanted to. It'd be REALLY interesting to see how the country would fare as a constitutional monarchy. I'd love a little story just telling what happened and Eadlyn's responsibilities. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Agreed! I think a short story about that would be really interesting. I imagine it would be similar to the way England is run now, with the royal family mainly just there for show and because of tradition. (hide spoiler)]
