Thanks Kath, and I like the allegiance to whoever is on the current read's winning side!

Thanks.

I'm blonde, an extreme plotter, and I live in New Jersey.
And, of course, I write. And read.
I don't blog about my reading, which is sparse right now (long story), but do enjoy your posts.

Thank you Alicia, you could indeed be one of us - you are therefore an honorary Blonde Plotter.

I think I've heard bits of it when I've been driving about and the serialisation has been on the car radio. That and the size have deterred me to be honest :-(

Ha ha, it's a whopper.

I think it is a book you need to be in the mood for - especially good if lying on a sun-lounger, whilst drinking something lovely and refreshing :)

I once managed that for just over an hour back in the early 1980s but have never tried it since ;-)

Ha ha A long as I'm in the shade, and have a pile of books to hand, I will happily lounge the day away. Mind you, it does have to be when I'm actually away on holiday. If I'm at home there's too much other stuff to do!

I'm honored. Look forward to reading more of your posts.

Thank you. I need to get organised and do more of them. There are just so many other things to do ..........

So many things that are somehow critical keep getting added to my daily list, that it's amazing I get any of the old ones done - and I'm only holding myself responsible for a few major ones no one else can do!
Today's took me all day to gird my loins for - and fortunately resolved fairly quickly - but brought today's writing to a complete standstill.
I have hopes after the next bunch, but I need my wits about me to write, and have been half-witted.

Hi, I'm following you now. The picture of the sky is stunning. Did you take it?
I loved the piece about the white roses. x

That picture of the sky is one of a trio - another of them is part of the cover for Pride's Children. A friend of a friend snapped them in high resolution with an iPhone because the sky was gorgeous - and I spent hours tweaking it for the cover. I have a feeling about it, and have an arrangement with Jon in case PC takes off - I will pay him for that photo. He wouldn't take anything to start.
The white roses came at a good time - it is hard when everything reminds you of your mother - last night I started 'Sometimes I feel like a motherless child' at our folk sing - did one more verse about the mourning dove, and stopped.
My mother was a force of nature - but invalid so long we have trouble regretting that she isn't so bound any more.

I'm thinking this Christmas holiday may be the suitable time.

I feel for you Alicia, it is cold comfort when all we have are our memories. My parents have been gone so long I have trouble picturing them or recalling time together. Thank goodness for photographs. I am sure the white roses will appear when you need them.

You certainly need a fair stretch of time for this one! I think I read that the BBC are doing an adaptation.

No, hadn't heard of it but looks interesting. Will head on over to Amazon and give it a go. thanks

We are three writers living and working in the Channel Island of Jersey. Our blogs are all about reading, not writing, as readers is what we are, first and foremost. The link is to one of the blogs I've written about whose fictional life I want.
I need to get going on my next blog post, which will be titled "What did Shakespeare ever do for us?"
