Awww. sorry to hear that Chava. It's been great travelling with you. See you in another challenge soon.

If we do a spell it out, put me down for any of these letters..

M T S E H C J O D V I F B W A

message 655: by Eunice (new)

Eunice | 666 comments I'm fine with either as well.

message 656: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments All the Missing Girls read 11/23, 4 stars
works for letter A

message 657: by Josie (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments Finished The Traitor's Kiss for my T book. I’m good with either, but isn’t this spell it out going to be long? Or am I getting it confused. The detour looks fun though. Anyways either one is fine with me.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments For the spell it out we could do either the long city name or the country which is Spain. With 5 letters less points though.

message 660: by Jammin Jenny (last edited Nov 27, 2017 06:42PM) (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Seems like a lot of work to do the city. If we can finish the city and everyone reads for at least one letter, we can get a maximum of 35 points.

Is everyone up for reading the detour this next stop? We can get 50 points if seven of us can read for the detour - one of us can read another book (any book) or read for the detour as well.

If only four of us can make a book work for the detour, and the other four read any book, we'll get 35 points (same as doing the city). So I would vote for doing the detour if at least four of us can read for it.

Here's the list for the detour: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/5...

I can read Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy #121 on the list

I'm totally fine with the detour...I'd go for more points if everyone can do personally...

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments I’ll do the detour as well. I’ll finally finish reading Dragonfly in Amber which has been marked on my currently reading thing here on goodreads since February... good thing it’s #63 on the list.

message 663: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I'm fine with the detour.

Chava | 1522 comments Completion post:The Burning Mind by M.G. Gardiner

Tammie | 4553 comments I'll read The Prize #1332 on the 'Best Love Stories' list

going to delete the posts with the spell out reference so not to confuse future...

message 667: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I updated our tracking sheet. Abir and Chava for now I have you down as "other book" as I didn't see a post from you confirming you could read for the detour.

Given the holidays are upon us, can we let this stop last two weeks too? So, we'll start on Sunday Dec 3 and finish by Saturday Dec 16.

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments How's everyone doing on their reading for this stop? I haven't started mine yet but I plan to be done by Sunday!

message 674: by Lexi (new)

Lexi Mine is an audiobook this time around. I could probably have it wrapped by before the weekend if I really push it.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I'm reading mine a little at a time as it's a re-read (Wuthering Heights). I was so lucky this year to actually visit the Bronte Parsonage and see the kitchen table where it was written. I bought the annotated version while there so I'm enjoying all the footnotes and historical notes. Should be finished by the weekend though.

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I changed my book to Jane Eyre

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Jenny wrote: "I changed my book to Jane Eyre"

Oh, I love that book also.

When we were there they had a really cool project going on. Apparently there are no original manuscripts of Wuthering Heights in existence so they are recreating one. Every day ten or so visitors to the Museum are chosen to write the next sentence from the book in a beautiful leather bound folio which when finished will be placed in the Museum library for posterity. And my friend and I were so fortunate to be chosen the day we were there.

Yes, good idea. I'll send a PM to the NBRC Travel Agent asking for the itinerary and updating our points for Business Class.
