Oh really? I didn't know that! Do the mods just keep making itinerary's for us?

message 902: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I like how relaxed this challenge it. I have done much more intense ones before, but I am too busy with work this year to keep up with those.

message 903: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Yes we just keep getting new itineraries I do believe. And we fly first class all the way. I'm pretty sure this is an endless challenge!!

And I agree I love it is so relaxed. Most of my other challenges are much more intense.

message 904: by Josie (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments Wait.... I thought we were just starting the ISBN detour. Like that’s starting today or whatever. I am so completely lost right now.

message 905: by Nicole (new)

Nicole I agree this challenge is nice and relaxed. Unlike cutthroat which is mental and way too restrictive! Haha

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Lets take a breath and get every one at the same stage again.

I'll post my S book tonight so that spell it out will be finished (I've got the last chapter to read to comply with the Cuthroat Book Club, another challenge here at NBRC), then we have the ISBN three even digits detour and then the Read a book set on a farm detour.

Hope that helps Josie.

message 907: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Josie and Nicole,

If either of you have a hard time finding a book that fits the ISBN10 detour, you can always just read any book. We just won't get the extra 15 points for 7 people reading for the detour. So, no stress here!

message 908: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Hey Jenny, I’m reading my ISBN10 book as i type :)
I’ll be finished tonight & I’ll post it then.

message 909: by Josie (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments No, I have a book for it. I just had to finish what I was already reading before I started it. I just thought that was the stop we were about to start doing this week. That’s why I’m getting confused. It’s as if everyone is at a different stop, and I’m trying to keep up.

message 910: by Tammie (last edited Jan 28, 2018 07:50PM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments Finished 1/28/18
Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America, Michael Eric Dyson
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
ISBN: 1250135990. 2-0-0

message 911: by Nicole (new)

Nicole It can be hard to keep up sometimes Josie! I was thinking maybe it might help if dates are added the spreadsheet next to the stops?
Generally I think we’ve been working on 1 stop per week. So this week 29th - 4th is ISBN10.
What do the captains think?

message 912: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I think it's a great idea! I'll add dates!

message 913: by Josie (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments Thank you! That’s an amazing idea.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Finished For S in the spell it out.

Nothing on Earth & Nothing in Heaven by Susan Fanetti

message 915: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Finished I See You for ISBN10 detour

message 916: by Louise (new)

Louise | 385 comments Still reading for ISBN 10 book, to clarify the farm detour does a character have to live on a farm (even if most of the stuff doesn't happen there) or does it have to be set on a farm?

message 917: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Louise wrote: "Still reading for ISBN 10 book, to clarify the farm detour does a character have to live on a farm (even if most of the stuff doesn't happen there) or does it have to be set on a farm?"

The detour says the character lives on the farm, so as long as it meets that requirement, the action can take place elsewhere.

message 918: by Nicole (new)

Nicole I will be reading I Will Send Rain by Rae Meadows for the farm detour. I'll be starting tomorrow!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments My farm book.. When Summer Comes (Whiskey Creek, #3) by Brenda Novak

message 920: by Tammie (last edited Feb 01, 2018 07:26PM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments Finished for Farm 2/1...
The Wedding Audition, Catherine Mann
★★★★
From the precis: The last thing Wynn Rafferty needs in his new life is a spoiled television princess who can’t even know his real name. He’s in temporary witness protection as an apple farmer after his undercover work put his life in danger....the farm is mentioned 30+ times in the book. MC lives on a farm.
Was a freebie on kindle and surprisingly good...1st time reading this author. Fun storyline and something I can recommend to those who love a fun romance...quick read too.

message 924: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Since I already read my farm detour, I'm planning on reading my ISBN10 detour by this Saturday 10 Feb

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Finished living on a farm - When Summer Comes (Whiskey Creek, #3) by Brenda Novak

message 926: by Louise (last edited Feb 06, 2018 10:58AM) (new)

Louise | 385 comments Finished Last Call (Fault Lines, #1) by Tim Powers at last for ISBN10 detour. Now to the farm detour - Faery Dust (Wildcat Wizard #2) by Al K. Line where the farm has just been invaded by a rather dangerous faery who is upsetting the chickens...

Also is this the time to start discussing stop 7?

The option of spell out is possible but isn't long enough to involve everyone I think...

Books from Senegal exist but I've only one in my TBR pile and not in possession.

As for the school detour (I believe that only one detour is left to us?) it seems a bit random as Harry Potter (which is on my current reading list) does not have "school" in it's top shelves but random books - like The Martian Chronicles don't seem to feature schools but is shelved on first page as...

I'm up for any of them basically - probably in order of school, spell out and country author.

message 927: by Josie (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments Sorry for the late post, it’s been a crazy few days. Finished The Queen's Poisoner for the ISBN detour. I need to find a book for the farm detour. I don’t think I have any.

message 928: by Lisa - (Aussie Girl) (last edited Feb 06, 2018 02:00PM) (new)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I've got nothing for school so it's spell it out for me or just read a random book for this week.

The following week's detour is - Read a book with more than 500 but less than 1000 reviews. That would be an easier detour with more possibilities I'm thinking.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Josie wrote: "Sorry for the late post, it’s been a crazy few days. Finished The Queen's Poisoner for the ISBN detour. I need to find a book for the farm detour. I don’t think I have any."

Good one Josie. If you don't have a farm one you can always just read any book and add it. I think we get points if everyone just contributes to the stop.

message 930: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments reading any book for ISBN tour detour

Dexter Is Dead 2/2, 4.5 stars

message 931: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I am up for spell it out next

We can do SENEGAL which allows 7 of us to read for the spell it out, and one member can ready any book.

My next choice would be school detour then written by/about Senegal

message 932: by Nicole (new)

Nicole I am up for spell it out! I can do A :)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Looks like spell it out is the go for the next stop - Senegal -

I would like to do N or S.

message 935: by Tammie (last edited Feb 07, 2018 08:29AM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments I'll choose L if that works for everyone...will put on SS
I could also do S if you need to switch it

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Abir wrote: "I just finished my farm detour book. Black Beauty, the horse lived in a farm during his life-journey"

That's a lovely classic novel Abir. I haven't read it for about forty years. Hope you enjoyed it.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I claimed the N on the Spreadsheet for Silver Silence (Psy-Changeling Trinity, #1; Psy-Changeling, #16) by Nalini Singh for author Nalini Singh.

I really did enjoy it. And it was quite informative too. It turned out there were a lot of thing I didn't know about horses, and how they were mistreated during that era for reasons far too stupid compared to simple hard work.

message 941: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I totally read Left Hand of Darkness for a book club instead of my farm book last week. I am reading a farm book, but am not quite done yet.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments No problems Lexi, most of us are between the farm and the next spell it out. I'm just starting my spell it out today. Silver Silence (Psy-Changeling Trinity, #1; Psy-Changeling, #16) by Nalini Singh

Josie if you can't find a farm book you like you can read any book. We have enough of us reading farm books to still get maximum points as long as you read something.

message 945: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Josie or Lexi, can one of you read for the S in Senegal? If not, someone else? That's the only letter that's not claimed.
