Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments I don't think I got a book with a land mark on the cover.

message 152: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments It's okay Abir. We have five people reading for it, so you can read whatever you want this week for this challenge.

message 153: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments FYI I'm reading my I book now.

@Lexi, did you finish a B book? Were you down for that?

message 154: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I will be done tomorrow!

message 155: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Cool! After we're both done our current books, we can move on to our next stop...

So I can read whatever for the next detour, right?
If so, cool. But I'm open for suggestion if anyone has any.
Are we done with the Bilbao stop yet?

message 157: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Yes you can read whatever you want for the next stop.

We'll be done with Bilbao when Lexi and I finish our books. I should be done mine tonight and Lexi said she'd be done tomorrow.

message 158: by Bee (new)

Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments Cool. This stop was stressless for me. Maybe because I finished early and didn't feel like I was dragging the rest of you slow with me.
Can we set dates for the stops and work by them? It works easier for me when I know when I have to be done, since I don't check in every day.

message 159: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments The dates for the next stop will be 8/21-8/27. We get 7 days per stop unless we need to extend to let everyone finish their books.

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Okay I guess we can move on now to our next stop.

@Josie let us know if you read a book between 8/14 and 8/21 and we can get another 10 points

We'll be reading for this stop from 8/21 - 8/27...

message 165: by Josie (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments I suck at updating Goodreads. I read Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2) by Tahereh Mafi finished 8/20/17

message 166: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments That's cool Josie. I'll PM the Mod - we got 35 points at that stop!

message 167: by Chava (new)

message 168: by Bee (last edited Aug 24, 2017 02:47PM) (new)

Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments I just completed Touch and Aleph
Sorry i haven't checked in a while. I suck at updating more than Josie.
What's the next stop???

message 169: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Our next stop is Bahrain (BH). We are destined to arrive there on 8/28 unless our flight is delayed due to looking at landmarks for too long.

Our detour at the next stop is

Read a book with the phrase "break a leg" in a book

What does everyone feel like doing at the next stop?

Spell-it-out? Books set in Bahrain? or Detour?

Personally I vote for spell-it-out.

message 170: by Josie (last edited Aug 24, 2017 05:32PM) (new)

Josie (josiemichele) | 96 comments For landmark on the cover I read The Heiresses. Since it has Manhattan on the cover. Finished 8/24/17
The Heiresses by Sara Shepard

If we do the detour, Since Tower Of Dawn is about to come out is it okay if I reread Queen Of Shadows? That's the only book that I can think of that has the phrase "break a leg". If we do the spell-it-out I have a book for the 'r' in Bahrain. Reign Of Shadows.
Reign of Shadows (Reign of Shadows, #1) by Sophie Jordan

message 171: by Lisa - (Aussie Girl) (last edited Aug 24, 2017 08:40PM) (new)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I will be finished my landmark book over the weekend.

I vote for the spell it out.

message 172: by [deleted user] (new)

I have no ideas for that detour. How would you even know if a book had that phrase in it?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments If you have a kindle you can search for the phrase with that option. There is also a web site where you can enter the title of the book and it would search out the phrase or word you wanted... but I just can't remember what it was! Anyone used this...

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I can do the "H" in Bahrain if we choose the spell it out.

message 175: by Chava (new)

Chava | 1522 comments I can do "B" of Bahrain with the main character's first name Bailey in Someone Is Watching

message 176: by Jammin Jenny (last edited Aug 26, 2017 07:07AM) (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments If we go with spell it out looks like we have

B - Chava
A - Pigletto
H - Lisa
R - Josie
A - Jenny or Abir
I - Lexi
N - Eternity

message 177: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I can take one of the A's with Agatha Christie...

message 178: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I can do the I with I, Robot.

You can use Amazon to search for phrases.

message 179: by [deleted user] (new)

I can take either the other A or the N with All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

message 180: by Lexi (new)

Lexi @Eternity, I really liked that book. It's sad, but lead to some really good book club bonding.

message 181: by Bee (new)

Abir, if you pick a book that fits "A" you can take my spot. Otherwise, just read anything and post your completion so we get the extra 10 points!

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Lisa, Lexi and Eternity - are you guys still reading for Landmark on cover?

message 187: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't think I have any books with a landmark on the cover but I'm gonna have the book I'm currently reading done soon.

Just finished Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson

message 192: by Bee (new)

Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments guys what stop are we in now???? We're a team and we should be on the same page, but it seems we're jumping between two stops.

message 193: by Jammin Jenny (last edited Aug 27, 2017 05:44PM) (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I believe we are all still at Stop #4 - Patral, where we are finishing up the detour (landmark on cover). Once Lexi finishes her book, we will be moving on to our next stop, Stop #5 Bahrain, where we are doing a spell-it-out.

It might have appeared we were jumping between stops, but I think we were just planning for our next stop while we were at our current stop.

Speaking of that, @Abir do you have a book that fits an A spell it out? Author's initials, first word in title, or character initials? If so, you can take the A spot I claimed, and I'll just post any book I read while we are at Bahrain.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Sorry, Abir.. maybe we got a little over enthusiastic!

message 195: by Chava (new)

Chava | 1522 comments Jenny wrote: "I believe we are all still at Stop #4 - Patral, where we are finishing up the detour (landmark on cover). Once Lexi finishes her book, we will be moving on to our next stop, Stop #5 Bahrain, where ..."

Happy for Abir to take B as well. I will have a book finished this week. Sorry Abir, we got a bit too eager to fly on :)

message 196: by Lexi (new)

Lexi Done. I am not at a computer yet. I will do a proper book complete post in a little while.

message 197: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Cool! We earned 35 points at that stop (25 points for completing the detour and 10 points for everyone reading). I'll message the travel agent to update our stats!

Now we can move on to our next stop - Bahrain!

Abir, do you want to read a book for either B or A?

message 198: by Bee (new)

Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments Sorry guys, didn't mean to sound like a grumpy bi**h, I just got really confused and a little hurt thinking you dumped me without notification.
Any way, since that is out of the way, I'm now reading Undeniably Chosen by Shelly Crane and the main character is Ava... There goes our first A.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Nice one, Abir,
