2nd pref. Spell-it-out City Gassim
3rd pref: Spell-it-out Country: Saudi Arabia
4th pref; book set in Saudi Arabia or by an author from Saudi Arabia

Tammie | 4553 comments I’m good with body part or spell it

Does the word ‘legacy’ work for Leg - body part?

I don't think so but you could ask in the Q&A

message 404: by Lexi (new)

Lexi Do we think Bone qualifies as a body part? I have several books for that.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Yep, voting seems the way to go.

1st: Body part in the title
2nd: Spell it out - City Gassim
3rd: Spell it out country
4th: book set in or by author Saudi Arabia

PS: I'm happy to do a country sometime but maybe an easier one.

message 406: by Chava (new)

Chava | 1522 comments 1st: body part
2nd: spell out
3rd: book in/from Saudi Arabia

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Lexi wrote: "Do we think Bone qualifies as a body part? I have several books for that."

Yes I think that counts. That's part of the body as long as it is one word by itself "bone" or "bones"

message 408: by Bee (new)

Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments does the word "Bodies" itself count?

message 409: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I don't know - you'll have to ask in the Q&A - unless others on the team believes it would.

message 410: by Chava (last edited Oct 07, 2017 06:08PM) (new)

Chava | 1522 comments Looks like we go for body part. I will read Bones in Her Pocket by Kathy Reichs.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I think it means an actually body part such as bone, heart, arm, eye or plurals etc.

message 412: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I have 3 separate books with "Bone" in the title. All are fantasy. All published in the last few years. It appears to be a trend. They are all & Bone.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Lexi, I'm doing this one - Etched in Bone (The Others, #5) by Anne Bishop

message 414: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I'll probably be reading A Heart So White it's been on my TBR for a while and it works for one of my clean up the TBR challenges.

message 415: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments For detour I’m reading Written in My Own Heart's Blood

message 416: by Jammin Jenny (new)

I started it last week...about 75% done...it’s really good.

message 421: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments Not sure if the team has done any deciding a week or 2 ahead of what we are doing...but I’d love that...helps me with getting books from the Library timely. ...just a thought...

message 422: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments That's cool with me.

Week 3 is one of the following

1 - set in or by an author from Russia
2 - spell it out of RUSSIA or NOVOSIBIRSK
3 - detour - read a book about someone extremely religious

My preference would be:

2, 1, 3

For Week 4 we are stopping in Kolkota India. Our choices are:

1 - set in or by an author from India
2 - spell it out of INDIA or KOLKATA
3 - detour - read a book with a gray cover

My preference would be

3, 2, 1

message 423: by Tammie (last edited Oct 09, 2017 01:17PM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments Week 3...I have zip on my tbr for Russian...will find if needed
2-spell it—A, I, N, O, S, U (prefer U or
3-Religious detour
1-set in or author from

Week 4...I have several option for India...really a tie for any of these options
1-set in or author from
2-detour gray cover
3-spell it

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Question: If we read a really long word like NOVOSIBIRSK and we manage to do all the letters (with some people reading twice) do we get more points?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Re Next week - I actually do have a book which would fit the detour read a book about someone extremely religious..

In The Name of the Family by Sarah Dunant . Its about the Borgias and one of them was a Pope..

I'll have a look for a Russia book but I'm pretty sure I don't have one on my TBR so otherwise one of the spell it outs.

Written in My Own Heart's Blood
I highly recommend this series!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Wow Tammie, that was fast. I've read all the series including the Lord John books but they usually take quite a few weeks. It is an epic series.

As sadly Pigletto is leaving us, I will advertise for a hitch hiker in the appropriate thread. Just wondering if the rest of the team is intending on staying till the end of the challenge right through to First Class? Of course, sometimes real life stuff comes up but I am wanting to keep going to the end. Anyone else?

message 441: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I am in it to the end. I enjoy this challenge. It's one of the more relaxing challenges I have!

message 442: by Tammie (last edited Oct 11, 2017 05:39PM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments @Lisa...I started this one around the 1st...so nine days...quick, but a very good/quick for me/strong read.

@Jenny...I plan on staying to the end barring major life event.

message 443: by Lexi (new)

Lexi I am in til the end. I like the challenge but also that's sort of relaxing.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments Finished my body part detour book for this week. Etched in Bone (The Others, #5) by Anne Bishop

message 445: by Bee (new)

Bee (abirbee) | 667 comments just finished Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes, I don't know if it fits the detour so I'm going to read Faceless just in case

message 446: by Lisa - (Aussie Girl) (last edited Oct 12, 2017 05:13PM) (new)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments What did you think of it, Abir? What a bunch of unlikable characters. Unfortunately, I don't think it fits the detour as it has to be a body part. Sorry.

message 447: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I don't think it will either but I loved it! It was so dark and unique and twisted!! I loved it and hated it at the same time!!

Haha Jenny. Not my thing... but once I read the first book I had to find out if Joe got his just desserts. Good to read out of my comfort zone sometimes.
