Thoughts?

Haven't finished this yet but I love the concept of a dark princess who's fighting her emotions internally as much as she wars with characters externally.

The way the story focuses on power and manipulation is also interesting, but after 200 pages it just seems like an eternal tug-of-war that has no clear objective. It makes the book drag a bit.

I'm still going to try and finish this as I'm really curious as to what the ending is going to be. Overall, a pretty good and thought-provoking read.

I'm glad this was chosen, I've had it on my ipad forever and for some reason can't get the motivation to start it. I'm currently reading the 2nd book in the Grisha trilogy but will start this one next...

Just finished this! While I have pretty mixed feelings toward it, I think I liked it? White has an engaging writing style for sure, but I thought the plot dragged a bit in the last 150 pages or so. Also if you're not super knowledgeable about that time period, it's easy to get a little lost.

I agree with Emilie, but since I really enjoyed the writing style and basic plot, I liked it enough to rate it 4 stars.

And I Darken is a book by Kiersten White.
