Universes Unite [Rebooted!] discussion

The classroom seems very much like a museum and the 'exhibits' are changed out according to the unit students are currently studying. More often than not, the actual teaching portion is taken to the outdoor area.

Teacher- Professor Ephria Fontaine
Assistant- Mr. Valentine Cache

Ephria went out to the outdoor portion of the classroom when she arrived, having brought literally nothing with her but the twin dragons that snaked around her while she walked. She had figured that the first portion of the class would be about dragons, since it was what she knew best, and then they could work on different creatures in the future.

Cache hoped to meet his co-teacher a bit early because he hadn't had time to return her messages about what they should work on. After all, she seemed pretty independent. Hopefully they could work well together so things went smoothly. If they didn't, he was probably screwed.
Heixin tightened around his forearm before going still.

Ephria turned when one of her dragons alerted her to someone's presence there. It was too early to be a student, and the person she suspected was also too old to be. "Are you my assistant?" she asked, not knowing any other way to put it. That was the title, she believed.

Cache was stunned by her beauty and could hear Heixin's menacing chuckle in the back of his mind. "Uh....I prefer the term co-teacher," he said, collecting himself. "We are working together, right?"

"I suppose, yes. But I do hope you didn't have a plan for teaching today already. Not that it would be terrible to change my plan," Ephria said and examined him momentarily. She couldn't tell what he was. Perhaps it simply wasn't obvious. She wasn't that obvious either. "Dragons, I mean. I intended to start a unit on them.

"Someone else interested in dragons," he muttered. It took him a fraction of a second to realize that she had two dragons surrounding her. "But that can be expected for this class." He smiled charmingly. "I know quite a bit about dragons myself."

"Oh do you?" she asked, surprised and just a little bit impressed. "It will be nice to know someone else who has some knowledge of the matter. They're vastly fascinating and mysterious creatures.

"What kind of dragons are they?" he asked, motioning to the serpentine beasts around her.

"They are wyrm," she answered, looking two her twin familiars. "They told me that they have amphithere in their blood, but they have shown none of the physical distinctions of an amphithere."

"I've never seen wyrm up close," he said, moving carefully so as to not offend them. "You can communicate with them?"

"Yes, I can. It's a gift I was given at birth," she said and nodded to one of the dragons to say it was alright that this practical stranger got close. Yet, the other still stood at attention in case something happened.

Time had come for her class and Ephria thought she had planned something very interesting. They would start on what she considered an easy unit, but she hoped that the students would at least try to seem invested in the subject matter. She arrived early, setting the last things up before students began to arrive.

Feliciano walked in a while later, looking around a bit. “Excuse me, but am I in the right room?~” He asked Ephria politely. “I feel all turned-around!”

((Can I bring River in here?))

"It depends on what room you're looking for," Ephria replied, looking over to the door where who she assumed was a student stood.

((I figure you can, sure.))

A green haired girl appeared behind him. "Study of Magical creatures, right?"
River was almost too excited for her first class to contain. But she had to stay cool and alert.

“Um, Study of Magical Creatures?” Feliciano commented, then looked around. “But judging by the room I’d say I already found it,”

((Then I want to bring in Erika))

Figures her first class would be something with animals. But she could handle animals! Maybe. Erika started to walk in the room, only to freeze a bit. There was already students inside, and the teacher looked so intimidating! She shyly hung back in the doorway, thinking this was a bad idea.

((They haven't met yet. I thought you wanted to do that RP?))

((Maybe it could be like...before this in the timeline?

((No worries. Perhaps they officially meet after this and they are just attending classes until their dorms are ready.))

((So they'll be in the same class but not really interact til later.))

River looked around, wondering what they'd be doing today.

Henrietta wandered in, gently pushing Erika out of her way. She was excited since they'd be talking about cute animals, and she loved cute fluffy animals! She took a seat near the front.

Erika felt tears well up in her eyes at being shoved by the brunette, but managed to bite her lip and shyly take a seat in the middle. Already this wasn't going well.

River smiled over at Erika who ended up at the table close to her.

Erika blushed a bit and waved back shyly.

"Take your time in here, we'll be having class outside," Ephria said, standing near the door to the outdoor desks.

Feliciano perked up at that. He was going to be able to go outside and not be stuck in a small classroom!

“I thought the point of this class was to study animals and the like,” Henrietta spoke up in a heavy but fake French accent. “So please do enlighten moi on why we have to go outside,”

"Because animals live outside," River said. "Obviously."

"Not all animals," Henrietta shot back. "So I cannot understand why we can't just study those,"

"Name one animal that naturally lived inside," River said smartly.

“If you do not know already, then I refuse to spend my time humoring you,” She twirled a strand of her hair around on her finger.

River snorted. "Because there are none. All animals are inherently wild," she blew a bubble with her gum and popped it like it was finishing the argument.

Henrietta rolled her eyes. "That is not very ladylike of you," She said instead, spinning around in her seat to face the teacher again.

River stuck her tongue out at the back of Henrietta's head. Then she smiled over at Erika.
"If being a lady means being rude like that, then I'll gladly snort at any other nonsense."

Erika smiled a tiny bit at that, unsure if she was supposed to laugh or not.

"So when are we going to go outside?" River asked cheerfully.

"Whenever you're finished in here," Ephria replied, gesturing to the door. Hopefully it was soon, however, since she didn't want to rush them but they needed to start soon.

River looked over the displays and nodded, assuming they'd be back at least later.

Erika folded her hands in front of her chest and shyly walked over to the door. She felt claustrophobic and needed to be outside.

Adjusting the straps on her small backpack, River went to the door as well.

Feliciano and Henrietta went over to the door too, happily conversing away with each other in Italian.

Keli came in just in time to see the others going out the back door. "Am I late?" she asked, uncomfortably speaking up. She pulled her jacket sleeves down over her hands.

"Absolutely not," Ephria answered and gestured to the door. "Please, join the rest of the class outside."

"Did you get lost like me?" Feliciano asked Keli nicely, sensing she felt a bit awkward. "It's pretty confusing to navigate the hallways at times,"

Keli looked him over before speaking. "No, I just saw everyone leaving the room and assumed I'd missed everything."
She spoke quickly as her cheeks flushed.

He nodded at her. That made sense to him.

Keli hurried up to join the rest of the class as they went out to the outdoor area.
