Mystery/Thriller Reading Friends discussion

I've been watching a show on TNT and it looks like The Alienist has been made into a series. I think it may have already aired bec I'm four or five episode behind in the series I'm watching. Did anyone catch it?

How interesting Carol; I am not finding it on a schedule, perhaps it will be available again so I'll keep an eye out for it!

Sounds interesting! I'll look for it. On another TV note, it's not based on any books as far as I know, but has anyone else been watching Salvation??

Thanks for mentioning Alienist as I wasn't aware it was a show. I read it 20+ years ago and have enjoyed books from that late 1800s era ever since. By complete coincidence I decided to start reading it again 3 days ago and just found your comment.

Saw the promo ad for Alienist, looks good, appears it will air in Sept.

As noted on a duplicate thread TNT is airing this eight part series in January 2018.

I watched the first episode of The Alienist this week (air dates on Mondays) and liked it; very atmospheric!

Good start.

I watched last week and thought it was pretty good. Been so long since I read the book I was having trouble recalling characters, etc!

Melodie: the same for me as well, it was fresh that way but I can't compare to the book.

I have the episodes queued up on my DVR but haven't watched yet. Glad to hear it's good!
