It was so cool that Clarke mentioned H. G. Wells short story, 'The Star', in chapter two of 'Rendezvous with Rama'. Did anyone else catch the inaccuracy? The star actually smashed into Neptune not Jupiter! Do you think anyone ever told Clarke?



this is set in 2130, in Clarke's space odyssey series it is stated that future societies change small parts of history for unknown reasons ..

that gives Clarke and out on this one ;)


Didn't note that, but then I'm not well read when it comes to Wells.
Have to look out for that on my next re-read, and read "The Star" in-between.
