Busy day so chapter 5 only. But I have to say so far Jorg is the best thing that happened. It's like Mark is still riding the previous series ( not that I complain mind you).

Yeah I do like the crossover. I think as long as it doesn't become too predominate in his writing it'll be fine for me as well

I'm reading your comments, just for fun! I notice that you mentioned crossover. It's it ok if this is the first trilogy that I've read of his? Or should I read something else first?

Chris, I started with Red Queen wars first (and loved it) but then after two books I switched to the Broken Empire and finished it. Before the WoO I'd say Broken Empire first, but this book takes place BEFORE the concluding scenes of the Broken Empire.

I'm really confused dot com at the moment.

I'm very crazy about chronological order, but I think you could read Red Queens War first

The drawback is the Jorg references lose their taste. But that is the only one I can think of. Am I wrong?


Back to the story:

Chapter 6: I don't know?! I thought he referred to the (view spoiler)[fight for the imperial throne, no? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 8: Oh, I loved the final payback scene! This is the first moment my love for the series rekindled (it died somewhere in the middle of the second book). Also what Jalan did with the key was brilliant. That was very... well, very mature of him. And generous. And, let's not shy away from this word, very noble.

Also, is he going to be remembered as (view spoiler)[the Red Prince (hide spoiler)]? After the payback he says that he heard it then for the first time.

Margret I think we share the (view spoiler)[zombie fatigue (hide spoiler)]. Still I like the whole Marshall business. It livened things up.

OK, I'm chapter 23 and (view spoiler)[very happy to be on the road again. The siege dragged and by the time it all settled I was bored. Also, I could see Lisa husband's death coming already in the previous instalment (hide spoiler)] so no surprises here.

Chapter 27! I'd be done by now but we've been traveling and my husband won't stop talking!

Ah sweet, I'm chapter 30 so we are nearly same. I'd be also finished already if not for the dead weight. Honestly, the (view spoiler)[zombie intrusions (hide spoiler)] bore me to tears. I was very happy when they finally started their advance on Osheim but then (view spoiler)[zombie again! (hide spoiler)].

I also find myself only mildly curious about Snorri's Hell story which is strange because I adore him to bits.

PS I know the blessing of a talkative husband, believe me!

He's driving me crazy! And I can't escape because we're on vacation together!

We went to Portugal for holidays this year and my grand reading plans wend down to nothing, nada, niente :D I didn't manage to finish a single book. ;)

PS I have finished the book and I hated the ending.
