Kram | 5 comments I found a book in my school over 10 years ago and now I can't find it again.

It was a book about this kid who had either a wagon, or a bike, and fixed it all up perfectly and somehow he could fly to a different world with it. He was scared to be in that world but he still went back for some reason.

*spoiler*

At the end I think there was this big pulsating brain in the middle of a room on a table or in a jar that was pounding and filled his ears...

I keep coming back to the book called "Radio Flyer" but I can't find it to buy it. The only book I can find is a kids book.

It could be that the title had nothing to do with "Radio Flyer" but in the book the thing he could fly (bike or wagon) was a "Radio Flyer".

It was definitely a sci-fi or fantasy book. I was completely taken by that book then. I wanted to read it years later but it was no longer in the library where it used to be.

Does anyone have any ideas or an idea who wrote it or anything??

Thanks!

D.M. Dutcher | 3 comments John Bibee wrote a book called The Magic Bicycle where the main character fixed up a Spirit Flyer bike. Didn't have a brain in a jar but it does fly.

Kram | 5 comments Hmm I wonder if I'm mixing up a few different books together in my mind. I actually think this WAS part of the jumble of books I was thinking about...thank you very much!!

Kram | 5 comments Hey I actually bought the book on amazon and read the thing in one sitting...amazing how different it is when you are older. It was still pretty good but when I was younger I was waaaay deeper into it (joke about the book if you haven't read it). Thanks again

D.M. Dutcher | 3 comments No problem. I found that when I reread it as an adult, I was surprised how dark it was.
