Elisa Sims (elisalisasims) I have loved Oates' short work, but would like to read more of her novels. I was not crazy about the only one I have read so far (A Fair Maiden) and would like to see what others consider her best work so I have an idea what to try next.

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) Her series 'Wonderland'
A Garden of Earthly Delights
them
Wonderland
Expensive People
is very well-recommended. Better check to order to be sure which book follows which; its a chronological series.

I myself was gripped by a novel called,
Angel of Light

Michele | 2488 comments You might try The Accursed. It's a sort of historical fiction/demon bridegroom story set in Princeton NJ and at Princeton University. I enjoyed it, though it was a bit slow in spots.

I have not read Blonde, her Marilyn Monroe book, but have heard it's quite good. Ditto We Were the Mulvaneys.
