Carol (carolfromnc) | 1446 comments Diane, your 2018 plan looks fantastic. I'm very much looking forward to all three plans.

Diane | 13052 comments I made an error and accidentally put Latvia instead of Lithuania for May. We visited Latvia in 2016. I made the correction.

Sue | 43 comments Hi Diane! Just a couple of questions - back to reading after a bit of a break and trying to fill in the gaps. I cant find a july book for Auvergne - was there one? Are we carrying on with India in 2018? I got bogged down with Sea of Poppies, which I did ultimately enjoy - the remaining books are on my shelf or kindle. Thank you for all your hard work making this a very interesting group.

The book for Auvergne was Hallucinating Foucault

This month's India book is our last book set in India for our regional tour. Here are the books we read by region:
- Central India: A Breath of Fresh Air
- East India: Sea of Poppies
- North India: What the Body Remembers
- Northeast India: Teatime for the Firefly
- South India: The Forgotten Daughter
- West India: The Space Between Us

Thank you! I now have the complete lists to follow. Are we continuing with India alongside Canada, rtw and the different genres?

Sesia | 1 comments Call me slow, but I don't get it. I've read the Introductions post and the Rules post, and I simply don't understand how to pick books for this challenge. With the 3 lists above, do I need to read 1 book per month or 3? How would that work for a "Frequent Flyer"? Thx in adv

The monthly reads and challenges are not connected. For the challenges, you just pick any books that interest you personally. You are not required to read the the monthly books as part of the challenges.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) These are really good ideas!

Vicky Hunt (vickyahunt) | 244 comments I've been compiling a list for my planned 2018 Trip Around the World in 80 books as a Trekker. This will be my first time doing this. And, I need to know where to post my plan and when. I'm excited to begin it on January 1st. Thanks in advance for the help.

Vicky, you will start your own thread here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group....

To start your own thread, select the "new topic" link in the upper right hand corner of the folder. Put your name and whatever you want your title to be in the "topic" box. Start your posts for your challenge in the "comment" box.

Malou Is there a particular place on the discussion board where we can open a personal thread for the Canadian provinces challenge? I only seem to be able to find a topic for the US. Thanks!

message 19: by Rosemarie (new)

Rosemarie | 3965 comments There is a challenge for Canadian provinces under the Regional Challenges heading called O Canada. I completed the challenge in 2016.
