I'm half way through and feel the same. It's like a cross between Star Trek and Firefly. Lots of fun!
I have book 2 here from the library, but have a few other things I need to read first.

Lots of people have already reviewed this book this month so I'll skip the synopsis. I really enjoyed it. It was tons of fun with great character development. It did remind me of Firefly (which I loved) so I appreciated it.
This book was nominated for the Bailey's women's prize in 2016 and was funded in part by the author's kickstarter campaign. It was great fun and a nice way to break up some of the heavier stuff I've been reading this month.
