The winner for this month's Author's Spotlight was Neil Gaiman.

Neil Richard MacKinnon Gaiman is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels, audio theatre, and films.

Please visit his page to learn more about him as well as his work.

You can read any of his books that you think may interest you, just come here after you do and share what you thought of it. Or if you have already read some of his works, what is your opinion of it?

What I thought was an interesting fact, Neil Gaiman wrote 2 episodes of Dr. Who, "The Doctor's Wife" and "Nightmare in Silver".

Although if you're not a Whovian, that may actually not interest you much.

The Doctor's Wife is one of my favorite episodes of new Dr. Who.

I struggled my way through American Gods this week. I think this story is more exciting in its TV version than its book version. The book is one that you spend most of it waiting for something to actually happen so at over 500 pages it is something to get through.

Karin | 415 comments I did finish reading The Ocean at the End of the Lane yesterday. I had kept seeing this book show up on recommendation lists but I was not sure if I wanted to read it. It took me a long time to get through it. Once I realized it is a horror book, I understand my uneasiness with reading the book halfway through.

I did pick up Norse Mythology and Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances yesterday at the library. I am hoping to read them both in the next couple of weeks.
