Rosemary Harper joins the crew of the Wayfarer to escape from a family scandal. With a forged identity chip, Rosemary takes on a clerk job on a tunneling ship. This is her first time out in open space. The crew is made up of multiple species, which is a big adjustment for sheltered Rosemary. The crew forms a family and has each other's back, not matter what happens. I think I would have enjoyed this book so much more without the bug eating. I have a major bug phobia and the descriptions of bugs for dinner made me gag. Stupid, I know, but I was totally grossed out.

Yes, I can see why that would bring it down a star! I didn't have as much problem with the bug eating as you did, but I can't say that I'll every actually eat bugs or insects!
