message 6: by Tina (new)

Tina (tinag240) Kristin Painter's House of Comarre series Blood Rights (House of Comarré, #1) by Kristen Painter .

Anything by Nalini Singh - she has two series Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh and Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh .

This one's science fiction but totally addicting Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1) by Ann Aguirre .

Also the Chicagoland Vampires Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill .

I second Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1) by Ann Aguirre . Though I'm also a sci-fi nerd in addition to being a fantasy geek. :-)

Meredith | 5 comments Hi Brittany,
I too really enjoyed the three original series you started this post with by Andrews, Frost, and Briggs.
Beyond those the other series that were "unstoppable reads" for me are The Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep (note- Love this series but not a fan of any of her other work); The Walker Papers series by C.E. Murphy; The Bitten/Bite series by Jennifer Rardin; and The Skinwalker series by Faith Hunter...hope these help you or others!

Amanda (manka23) | 16 comments I'm sorry to do this, but it really bothers me. It's heroin if you refer to the drug, heroine if you refer to a hero.

I loved The Vampire Academy series. I read all six in 3 days.

message 11: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) Simon R Green's Nightside series.

I will put a link when I get home, I am on my iPod Touch.

It is the best paranormal series I have ever read.

Brittain *Needs a Nap and a Drink* (bwilliams2013) | 91 comments I love love love love Royal Street (Sentinels of New Orleans, #1) by Suzanne Johnson River Road (Sentinels of New Orleans, #2) by Suzanne Johnson Elysian Fields (Sentinels of New Orleans, #3) by Suzanne Johnson

The fourth book is coming out sometime next spring and it is driving me crazy. This series is what got me hooked on Southern paranormal.

That series looks pretty interesting. Thanks for suggesting it. I might have to check it out.

I'm going to suggest the Obernewtyn Chronicles. I've only read the first three but there's about a million of them so if anyone wants a long series they should check them out.
Obernewtyn (The Obernewtyn Chronicles, #1) by Isobelle Carmody

Also, the Throne of Glass series (there are 2 out, a 3rd out in September and a collection of short stories)
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2) by Sarah J. Maas The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J. Maas

And, even though it's maybe a bit cheeky, I would love if you could check out my Shadow Weavers series. The first 2 books (Hummingbird and Nightingale) are already out and the third is on its way.
Hummingbird (Shadow Weavers, #1) by Kay Causer Nightingale (Shadow Weavers, #2) by Kay Causer
Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Hummingbird-Sha...

Hummingbird is YA paranormal and urban fantasy story about a teenage girl, Naomi, who discovers that not only does she have special powers but she's the first to do so in 50 years. The 'Shadows' - dark spirits determined to cause chaos - have broken through into our world again and only Naomi, with the help of her shadow guide, the handsome and playful Jesse, can stop them.

Gina Drayer | 4 comments I really enjoyed Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, #1) by Faith Hunter . I found the world interesting and the main character, Jane Yellowrock, was a nice change from the standard UF protagonist.

Shelby | 26 comments I loved Vampire Academy as well. It's a great series!

Something Witchy This Way Comes (Something Witchy, #1) by Veronica Blade Prince of Wolves (The Grey Wolves, #1) by Quinn Loftis Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Captured (The Captive, #1) by Erica Stevens

These are my top 4!

Megan (megandurrence) | 8 comments My top three favorites would have to be
Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee Something Witchy This Way Comes (Something Witchy, #1) by Veronica Blade White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I hope you find that next great read! I see a lot of good choices here!

message 18: by Rebeka (last edited Sep 28, 2014 08:48AM) (new)

Rebeka Schwarz (rebekaschwarz) I have way too many sagas to battle through before I choose a top 3 but I have a top 1! This isn't one of the newer series that are flying about at the moment, but this one pretty much started the whole romantic vampire trend. So if you haven't read them already, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles are beautifully written. The Complete Vampire Chronicles There are 10 of them however :)
