Checked this out on KU for the lone review that seemed to like it, but yeesh, how creepy is this cover.

If anyone else reads it, lemme know if it's worth my time, thanks! Still making my way through the Fayroll series ^^

Pieter (madfox11) | 14 comments After some deliberation I bought it and I just finished it. I liked it. The concept is not entirely new, although the fact that the protagonist Joe actually believes he still is in a game and the magic that placed him there changed the world to accommodate Joe's believes is different.

It is well written, although a bit light on the game mechanics even if its explanation at least shows the author actually knows RPGs and what people in general like about them.

Its strongest point for me though, is also its potential biggest weakness for others. I like 95% of the humor in the book, but it is the type of humor one tends to find in light novels and anime: some silliness, a bit over the top emotions at times and so on. Mind you, the story itself is serious. It is not slapstick and it is also not constantly present. Still, I know enough people who dislike that kind of humor and I doubt they would like the book.

Panda (pandaroll) Number one is the (Superhero Science Fiction).

Nice! Might check it out though having an MC called Joe is a bit... might as well call him Bob!

Pieter (madfox11) | 14 comments Well, he is Rusian. So it might be a nickname for Joseph... ;) (Doubt it though, since at no point is this mentioned. Still, the name does not bother me, but in regards to names it is not the worse offender. I did say I only liked 95% of the humor ;))

Freedom | 198 comments Ooh a Russian LitRPG! Will def read next.

Pieter (madfox11) | 14 comments The protagonist is Russian, but I would not call the book Russian. It is not dark enough ;)

Freedom | 198 comments Whoa, so I just finished this and was blindsided - pleasantly.

The afterword totally slew me. I cannot believe he wrote the entire book on his phone, crazy!

His claim of having an editor is dubious, and of course I believe him, however there were quite a few word mix ups.

Bottom line, the story was a stellar ride =)

The world Building is not unique but nicely done!
