Being late to the party I had a few books that I couldn't use, which coincidentally all had authors with a double letter in their name (Jasper Fforde / Ben Aaronovitch / John Gwynne) - so read a book with an author with a double letter in their name. The double letter can be in either the first or last name.

Please discuss task 10.8 in this thread.

Rachel | 574 comments How do you feel about something like George R.R. Martin?

Or if the last letter of the authors first name is the same as the first letter of the authors last name?

I think two initials the same doesn't quite make it. Sorry.

Yes, he works. We just wanted to clarify that you weren't restricted to only one part of the name.

Marina (sonnenbarke) I plan on reading Sirena: Mezzo pesante in movimento by Barbara Garlaschelli very soon. The book doesn't have an edition in any language other than Italian. Can I still use it for this task? It should be quite straightforward without needing to look into the book itself.

It is actually non fiction (it's the author's own story of how she came to an accident that left her on a wheelchair), but I won't give myself styles if you don't approve of that. I realize it's going to be difficult for you mods to understand what a book is all about when the summary is not available in English.

Yes, the author's name is the same regardless of task. We have a few other European nonnative-English speakers. Do not worry about your books.
