You can also search easily on Audible. Just go to the category of book you're interested in, click on view all of the titles, then there will be whispersync for voice at the bottom of the left column. Just click on that to see all available.

It turns out that I hadn't been using the search engine on Amazon properly. I had been doing it the hard way.
I really appreciate your help. Whispersync seems so much cheaper then CD/Audio books. I can buy an e-book for around $3, and then I can upgrade to Whispersync for around an extra $2.50. So, the whole lot comes in at around 5 or 6 quid. Whereas CD/Audio books are normally around $25.
I've started listening to audio books when I'm out walking my dog, I really enjoy listening to them.
Thank-you so much for your help, Angie. :)

Thank-you so much for all your help and information. I am so glad I met you tonight. Thanks!

It's a site where you can borrow and loan ebooks. You just add books you own that are lendable and you get points to borrow books. You also get a point each time you loan a book. Here's the link.

There is another lending site I've used, but they don't have as many books, so I don't get them very often, but here's the link for that one, too.

I'm so grateful to Angie for all the information that she has shared. I couldn't even find e-books that are available in Whispersync, until Angie told me how to search for them. Now I'm spoiled for choice, I've found loads!
Whispersync is great value, but I'm considering signing up for Amazon Audible Membership. It costs $14.95 per month. Which is around €11 per month, so it is good value. But I'm not 100% sure what I get for $14.95 a month?
I know I get a free audio book and one months free membership to start with. Then after that I get one credit a month. But I'm not sure what a credit is worth? Most audio books are around $20 to $30, is one credit equal to any audio book?
Also, recently I've been listening to approximately one audio book per week. So, if I've already used up my one credit a month, do I get a discount on other audio books that I buy?
I've read up about it, but Amazon don't make it very clear what one credit is worth? Or maybe its me who doesn't get it... ;)

Its so strange that Lendle allowed me to make an account and add some of my e-books. I signed up through my Facebook account.
Someone has already asked to borrow my copy of "The Magpies" by Mark Edwards. I'm actually reading and listening to it at the moment. It is available in Whispersync. It is a brilliant book, I'm really enjoying it. I'm almost finished, its a shame that I can't lend it to the person who requested it.
Hopefully some time in the future Lendle will allow people from outside the US to lend books. :)

Also, if you think you'll be listening to a lot of books, you could get one of the other memberships that gives you more credits per month at a cheaper price. You can get 2 credits a month for less than $12 each, or you could get 12 or 24 credits all at once for less than $10 a piece (for 24 credits).
I'm sorry Lendle didn't work out for you. Will the other booklending site work?

These are all things that I have wondered about for ages, but didn't know who to ask? I am delighted with all the information about audio books. Its great to know all my options with memberships.
Up to recently I didn't even listen to audio-books. But when I saw what great value Whispersync is, I just had to try them out, and it turns out I love them. I listen to audio books when I'm walking my dog, she is delighted with the extra long walks she gets when I'm at an exciting part of my audio-book. So its all good!
Thanks again everyone for all the help. I'm so happy I joined this group. :)

I spend ages choosing an audiobook. Its hard to pick one, there is so much to choose from.
I like thrillers and horror, so I picked an audiobook called "Angel of Death," by Ben Cheetham. It sounds like a really good story, the narrator sounds really good too. Happy days! Thanks everyone for all the help and advice. :)

Recently I have bought kindle e-books, and I upgraded to Whispersync. I think Whispersync is great value, I've listened to some great audio books. My favourite so far was a thriller called "Into The Darkest Corners."
My problem is that I am finding it difficult to actually find e-books that can be upgraded to Whispersync. I've tried to type "Whispersync" into the search engine on Amazon, but only a handful of Whispersync ready books show up.
I know how to use "Matchmaker." Matchmaker shows me which e-books I already own can be upgraded to Whispersync.
But how to I browse Whispersync ready books? I love thrillers and horror (ghosts etc.) but I don't know where about on Amazon to find them.
Up to now I search through the thriller and horror sections, hoping to find books that are Whispersync ready. So, I'm wondering is there a more direct way to find thriller and horror books that are Whispersync ready?
Thank-you! :)
