I vote every positive review up. When I think they have a point, I won't vote it ( a negative review) down and if I think they are just plain mean, I will vote it down. I have noticed that Amazon arbitrarily acknowledges my votes.

I used the vote down feature this morning for the first time ever. I don't mind negative reviews, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when a reviewer accuses you of manipulating them into buying the next book I take offence.
How does Amazon acknowledge your votes?

The book has a cliffhanger ending. They didn't like that and accused me of manipulating them into buying the next book.

Some people just aren't prepared for a series. I don't know why, TV is full of them. I don't see why books can't be.

I think Eldon camped out on her doorstep and twisted her arm. OMG, I hate when they whine. (the reviewers) Which book, Eldon- I'll vote it down too. Done!!

Thanks Carole. I just don't understand reviewers some times.

Exactly what I thought Amy. And it fits the story. If they don't like it fine...but that's hardly manipulative.

Sorry this happened to you.
First off, it's called Book 2... a major hint that it's part of a series! No manipulation going on here in my opinion!
I went to Amazon and voted it down. I got your back, Eldon! Hugs!
