Mark Kloss (markkloss) | 46 comments Hello! First I just want to say thank you for all your advice and tips on here, my book (Game Hunterwas published on the 1st and in the UK we are number 25 in our category!

My question is in the UK we are coming up high in young adult categories (when you look at product information), in the US site we are only coming up on children's categories. Now I didn't choose differently for the different platforms. Do you know why that may be?

Thank you!

Simi Sunny | 173 comments I'm not sure why. It's weird how Young adult categories are high while Children's category is high on US. I think people have different tastes, who knows? I thought maybe Fantasy is much popular these days.

Just misplace your book in the category. Do what's right and sell, sell, sell! :)

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 32 comments OK, so these are two separate marketplaces. And their keywords also act slightly differently.

But basically, the categories your highest in will be displayed under your book on the Amazon page.

Just in case you're not aware of the keywords (these can trigger different categories from the ones you selected):

Hi thank you,

The bit I think I was missing is it just shows what you were highest in! So I guess the categories are different in each marketplace, just because it has sold differently in the different marketplaces.

I've seen those keywords - very interesting!
