Marlee adjusted the beanie on her head, letting out a soft sigh. She was trying to be positive and stuff, but it was a new school, and new place, and it was lame. She didn't want to be there. She wanted to be back in Wisconsin, where she finally fit in. She bit her lip, scanning the area with a small smile on her face. Mason said to be happy and try. Well..fine. She would try. She got into line, tugging her sweatshirt over her hands. She was hungry. That morning before school she had been too nervous to be able to stomach any food. Now however, she was so hungry she would eat anything. Anything really. She hummed her latest favorite song, not caring who heard. One more year. One more year.
((Sorry it isn't too long..got distracted! ;) ))
Marlee smiled to her self as she tapped out the Rythem of the song that she had been working out previously on the table. She loved music. The only way she hasn't gone insane with all the moves was because of music. It got through to her when other things didn't. She constantly had something playing. She couldn't help herself. Her bright blue eyes flitted across the cafeteria, spotting a confident, attractive looking male staring right at her. She flashed him a smile before grabbing her tray and heading down the lunch line.
The dude obviously had an ego the size of the earth. Marlee didn't have time for that. She already had Hunter, her older brother who seemed to think he could rule the world with a simple wink. It was overrated. She was so lost in thought she didn't hear the lunch lady ask if she wanted the mystery meat that was being served. "Miss!" She said loudly, startling Marlee. "Do you want the Meat loaf?" She asked, holding out the meat that was so not meat loaf. It didn't even look like a loaf of bread. She almost barfed. "I'll pass." She said softly, flashing a small smile as she picked up a salad and some fruit. The salad was obviously bought, thank heavens. Marlee would rather have a store bought salad than a school made one.
She paid for her lunch, fishing out crumpled dollar bills from her sweatshirt pocket. The lunch lady glared at her, obvioulsy angry that the dollar bills were crumpled. "Sorry," Marlee said with a cute shrug. She really for real didnt care what the lunch ladies thought of her. She was past the point of worrying. She scanned the lunchroom, looking for a quiet place to sit. She didn't want any trouble, just a nice lunch. Nice lunches however, seemed to be a rare occasion in this place. She already strongly disliked it. They had all the clicks that norm schools had, of course. She felt like however that it was worse here.
Marlee hated clicks. She had never fit in in any of them. She was classified as the wanderer. She fit in with the populars, the geekies, the nerds, the goths...she fit in a little bit in every single one of the groups. It made it hard for her the first day of school because of that reason. Who would want to sit by someone who was a geek, popular, goth, nerd...everything. She bit her lip softkg, deciding to sit at a quiet table in the corner. Her blue eyes were less exciting and a little dull as she pulled out her phone and began to listen to it. She really didn't care about friends anymore. It's not like they care anyway. .

Iolana looked up at Thalia as she swirled her fork in the spaghetti that was on her plate. The noodles looked more like the ends of a broomstick than they did actual noodles. "What did you get?" she asked curiously, raising an eyebrow as she spoke.

"Of course I can," she replied with a smile, letting her fork drop from her hands. There was no use playing with the spaghetti since she had no intentions of eating it.
