[2018] Voting for 11th Mini-Poll

three of mine were resubmits as well - I almost choose a 4th one but decided on a new one instead.
As you said hopefully 2nd times is a charm!

My bottom four were easier to pick. I had three definite no votes from the beginning, and had a couple others that I wasn't thrilled about, so I picked one of those to round out my choices.
Can't wait to see the results on Sunday!

My top 4 ended up being a graphic novel and a book with a supernatural character because those were two that I know I will read next year regardless. Then I chose my own suggestion of a title with 4 letters or less for the scavenger hunt aspect that I always look for in challenge topics. And finally I chose an elderly main character because I wanted an excuse to pick up A Gentleman in Moscow.
My bottom four was a book set in a place you have been before. Unfortunately, I have not been able to travel much in my life so that was a very limited prompt for me. On the other end of the spectrum, I felt that #1 on a Listopia list was too broad for my taste. A book about food/cooking is a touchy subject for me right now so that had to go. The final bottom for me was the book inspired/referenced in a song. I just couldn't find anything that I wanted to read in the links given. Again, none of my bottom four were "bad", just the 4 of the bunch that I was least happy with.
This week was a lot like last week for me - lots of great prompts, and not many that I wouldn't like. I had a seriously hard time whittling down my top 6 to a top 4. I went back and forth forever.

Our highest poll was the 2nd poll with 153 votes."
Thanks, Laura!
The entire Around the Year challenge list is generated by the group members. We enjoyed the process so much in the past two years that we are creating another list for 2018.
The Process:
The topics for the 2018 RC list will be determined through around 13 mini-polls. Each user will vote for their favorite 4 topics in each mini-poll). Suggestions for each poll will be opened until 15-20 suggestions are received+seconded. Then a poll will be opened for voting for four days so you can select your 4 favorite suggestions. The process has been unpredictable this year but we are striving for a completed list in November.
