Kayla Ganzburg I really enjoyed reading this book because I could relate to a lot of situations Jessie was in at school. This book is a good read for girls in high school or going into high school because they would relate to Jessie’s situation the most. Also, I liked how there was a sense of mystery in the book because you wanted to know who “SN” was the whole time so it was even hard to put the book down at times. I really hope to read more books by Julie Buxbaum in the future.

Aaliyah Fentress the mystery made you want to keep reading

Christina Slomski Agreed. I loved the book. I love the idea of SN and the romance involved. I enjoyed how you kept guessing who SN was. We all had an idea but with the way she wrote the book you couldn't know for sure. If you girls liked this book you might like suicide notes from beautiful girls by Lynn Weingarten. Its high school mixed with thrill. It keeps you turning pages. I finished it within a day. Its that good.

Aaliyah Fentress I loved that book!

Ryan Laclair Tell me three things by Julie Buxbaum is a story about a girl named jessie, who moved from Chicago to L.A. when her dad eloped with a woman he met online. After her mother died a little under 2 years ago, Jessie is still heartbroken over it and feels resentment towards her dad for moving on so soon, she also doesn't want to leave her only known home in Chicago to go to a preppy school in Los Angeles with her stuck up step brother and people like him. The main characters in this book are : Jessie, her dad, her stepbrother & mom, her bestfriend, "SN", the boys in the band, and her new friend group in her new school. This book is unique because of the mystery, and reality in this book. The book has many cliff-hangers involving things going on in her life, like finding out who "SN" is, to her everyday life in her new house and school. The realities of this book involves things that happen in everyday teens like bullying, popularity, self image, boys, experiencing new things, and crushes. Many teens reading this book can relate to the book because of all these things she goes through or experiences throughout the story. The main idea of this book, I think, is accepting change. Jessie experiences losing her mom, her and her dads relationship, her best friend, her image and goes through getting a job, getting bullied, having a crush, struggling in school, and she learns through it all in the end. The story takes place mainly in L.A at her school and home and everything in-between but switches to Chicago when she goes and visits her best friend, it takes place in her junior year in high school. The story begins to shift when she starts getting ideas of who "somebody/nobody" is as she gets to know more and more people in the school. she starts to realize who she likes and learns more about the people she thought she had figured out. The two main characters in the book are Jessie and Ethan, she meets Ethan in her English class and quickly realizes he's a very popular boy, and very attractive. When she gets assigned as his partner she realizes he isn't like any of the other "popular" boys and finds mystery in him. As she gets to know him and learns the rumors about him she doesn't want to believe them because she knows he's different than everyone. Ethan is in a band and is a very quite, shut-out person who isn't open to many people. When "SN" is revealed in the end of the book, everything changes between Jessie and Ethan. My favorite part of the story is when Jessie goes back to her old life in Chicago and realizes it wasn't the same as it used to be. Her friends have changed and people are different and moving on with their lives without her. This is my favorite part because although its sad, it shows the reality of change and moving on. Although Jessies best friend loves her and cares for her she isn't letting herself be sad and indifferent because Jessie left. I like the way this book was written because along with heartbreak and mystery, theres humor and new coming. Jessies emotions are very detailed and easy to relate to and understand, I think other teen girls would enjoy this book because it is something enjoyable to read, entertaining, and an overall good plot that keeps you wanting to read. I would recommend this book to other kids if they wanted a short, simple but meaningful book.
