Comment all of your thoughts (spoilers are welcomed) about Part 2 of TBDATE!

The heartbreak when Mateo says bye to his dad! It was written beautifully and suited Mateo's personality. It wasn't too open and I as the reader understood how he felt without actually reading it. I'm also loving that we're getting very small chapters from the POV of other characters!

So I just finished this section and honestly I really did not like the way Mateo decides to say goodbye to Lydia. I completely understand why he chose not to tell her; that's a hard thing to do and I can't imagine ever doing it or deciding now how I would choose to say goodbye. But I can't help but feel bad for Lydia. If I was her I would be so angry! Why should she not be given the opportunity to say bye to her best friend you know. She never got to say bye to the love of her life and now she's losing Mateo.

I like the POV because they show how the world is actually so small. All of their lives are interlocking without them even knowing. It shows I think how the actions of one person have so many repercussions. For example Kendrick is part of Pecks gang. If peck decides to get revenge on Rufus by being his gang together and beating him up, Kendrick will recognise Mateo and will possibly stop the fight...

I love their relationship too, they have real chemistry and they have really grasped the whole putting your trust in your Last Friend.

I cried so hard when Mateo was saying goodbye to his dad! And when he cleaned the dishes so his dad didn't have to worry about it and when he left the notes for his neighbours! Basically all the time haha!
I actually am on team Mateo with the whole Lydia situation, and love how he thinks so logically about things like not wanting to end up dying in front of Penny.
Mateo is by far my favourite character but Rufus is growing on me. Though I definitely prefer seeing him from Mateo's POV rather than actually being in his head. And their relationship is so sweet!
I don't really care for the other POVs. I mean I get why they're there and I hope they do eventually serve a greater purpose but at the minute they're kind of pointless. My guess is Delilah is gonna turn up at some point and that's how we're gonna know that it's time for either Mateo or Rufus to go.

I ship Mateo and Rufus so much!!! And I agree with Nicole in terms of the multiple POVs, it shows how everyone and everything affects others. Plus, as a little girl, I always used to wonder what everyone around me was thinking and how every person we see on the street or in a store has their own life, problems, and dreams. It was just really interesting to see how different their thought processes are.
